| This was the first time my husband and I had been to New York. I heard about the walking/eating tours from the Today Show and ordered tickets online. We loved it and would recommend it to everyone! We would never have known about Soho and Greenwich Village, and would have missed one of our most delightful days while in NYC. Our tour guide, Barri, was just great and shared so much history with us. The food was wonderful and was MORE than enough! On our last day in New York we took the subway back to Soho and ate supper at one of the restaurants on the tour, and dessert at another one! |

| I have been on other Foods of NY tours and this one needs a little work. The guide seemed nervous, and she tried to cover too much in three hours while being a bit boring. It would be great if they focused on fewer restaurants, but let the tour go into the places and get a sense of them. A couple more tasting would also be good because many of the people were still hungry at the end.
This has some overlap with the Greenwich Village tour, which was frusturating because many participants had already been on the other tour. I hope they'll get all these things figured out for a great tour.
This is not a tour for people that can't stand outside for three hours straight. There was no sitting at all. |

| The food tours offer a wonderful way for out-of-towners to see parts of NYC we might not other wise ever get to. Restaurants visited are all great. We did go to one of them for dinner later in our visit and plan to return to others on future visits to NYC. |

| As my guide stated, I was completing the "trifecta" of the Foods of NY Tours with this one. Having done the Chelsea Market and the Greenwich Village ones, I had very high expectations for the Central Village/SoHo tour and it did not disappoint. Rahim, our guide, was exceptional. Very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the area and the foods he was introducing us to. This, I have noticed, is a common thread amongst all FofNY tour guides. The day of our tour, it was FREEZING cold and the snow/icy rain was coming down hard the entire time and Rahim made sure that we were all comfortable at all times...he even took us inside a food establishment just for some coffee and to "warm up." I must say, though, that I was expecting a little more from the architectural perspective of SoHo during the tour and I wonder if had the weather conditions been a little different, if that's typically part of it. But regardless, it was a great time, and just like the other tours, I highly recommend this one to anyone who wants to REALLY learn about New York City. |

| This is the third food tour that I've tried. All 3 have exceeded my expectations. Once again, the guide was great and the tastings were fabulous! It is a great way to spend a few hours in the city, having some good food and learning some interesting history that I would never learned otherwise. Would highy recommend!!l |

| We had a great time learning about both the history of the area and the lifestyle of the people that live there. We discovered some great new places to try out along with some options for entertainment we did not know much about. I would tell anyone it would be worth their while to take the tour. |

| It will take at least 3 more visits to NYC to dine at all of the great places we were introduced to on the Central Village/SoHo Food Tour. Raheem, our tour guide, truly loves his job and his enthusiasm is contagious! The food we sampled came in generous portions - so much so that we were too full to eat more near the end of the tour. The ricotta cheesecake at Bellavitae was my favorite. Our group was lucky enough to score reservations there that evening and enjoyed a wonderful meal and loved seeing Cafe Corner full of life at night.
Can't wait to try your Chinatown tour! |

| We thoroughly enjoyed Susan and her tour of Greenwich and SoHo. Her information on the history and flavor of these neighborhoods was interesting and really captured the essence of these areas. We really enjoyed the food tastings and ended up going back to Monte's for dinner a few nights later for a fabulous meal. Our visit to Manhattan was really enhanced by adding this tour to our itinerary and getting away from the "usual" tourists places to see.
When we return to NYC, we will definitely try another Food Tour! |
