Walking tour was wonderful!

My friend and I visit the city several times a year, always seeing a show and shopping. This time we decided to do something different and we were wonderfully surprised at how much we enjoyed our walking tour of the Village and Soho. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and made the tour a lot of fun. We can't wait to do the other walking tours on our future visits to NYC.

I'm 27 from Boston visiting a friend who's relatively new to NYC. We were looking for something different and fun to do during the day and stumbled upon this tour online. We had such a great time! It was an excellent mix of ethnically diverse foods and fun historical facts about the streets you're walking along. We saw where Bob Dylan lived, where Jimmy Hendrix was discovered, where Jack Kerouac wrote, and what may be considered one of the birthplaces of Hip Hop. We sampled Indian food, fresh mozzarella, and food spoken of in the Bible. Our tour guide was very friendly and very knowledgable... while the group ranged vastly in age, our guide was a total crowd pleaser. It wasn't stuffy or pretentious or boring, more like going for a walk with a friend who'd lived in the neighborhood for years (and I believe he had). I would definately not reccomend going on a day that's below 30degrees, we froze, but I will absolutely book another tour with this company in the spring!

Fantastic. Great value. Best money spent in NYC. We learned so much - and use our new found foodie knowledge every time we come back. We attended on a Friday and loved it so much we went back to five of the places on Saturday. I wish there was one for every neighborhood. Our guide, Raheem was extremely knowledge, funny and very personable. Thank you!!

Our guide Raheem was knowledgable, enthusiastic and funny! We (mother and 3 adult daughters) had a very enjoyable afternoon learning about the Central Village and Soho. If your a "foodie" and would like to learn about the fabulous restaurants in the area this tour is a must!

The tour and guide where great, the food was ok I would say that you need more places you go in and sit down, standing out side on the street was not what I expected. Also of of the food was very small, good but not much.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE TAKING A TOUR IN NYC AND IT WILL NOT BE MY LAST. WHAT A GREAT TOUR GUIDE AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE, WE LEARNED SO MUCH HISTORY ABOUT THE VILLAGE AND SOHO,THE FOOD TASTING WAS DELICIOUS AND A PERFECT SELECTION OF FLAVORS TO TASTE. MY FRIEND HAS CELIAC DISEASE WHICH MEANS SHE IS ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN...THE FOODS OF NY MADE SURE THERE WERE FOOD SUBSTITUTES FOR HER TO TASTE AS WELL , VERY ACCOMMODATING AND A MUST TO DO FOR ANYONE TO EXPERIENCE.

We did foodsofny's other Greenwich Village tour in March and decided to get a hotel in Greenwich just because of that... This tour didn't disappoint. Greenwich isn't that big but the other tour and this one don't cross paths at all. We'll need to visit Greenwich for several weeks just to exhaust the list of amazing restaurants they gave us. The tour guides are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food is great. And it's enough to be lunch... definitely show up with an empty stomach. The best part is the little booklet they give you for later. You can focus on what the guide is saying and know that you'll have all the addresses/details of the restaurants he mentions (and you taste). After both tours we booked dinner at one of the restaurants on the tour (after a few hours in a pub to give our stomachs a break). I'd recommend doing the same.

fun time!

We had a great time wandering around the village - hearing some history and eating good food. I am a local so knew the lay of the land, but still LOVED finding new places to eat.
