| Our guide Diana was informative and well versed in her subject. The food was varied and very good. The weather left a lot to be desired as it was extremely cold and icy. Diana did everything in her power to keep us warm and entertained. Will do this tour again on a nice spring day. this was one of my daughter's Christmas presents and she enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you. |

| I found the Central Village/Soho Tour informative and very enjoyable. While tasting the samples of food at numerous stops was pleasurable, I enjoyed even more learning the background of the restaurants and their role in the community. Our guide (Ramin--not sure of spelling) did an excellent job of escorting a group of about 15 through the area while minimizing the activity disruption of local residents. The handout guide to the area was also helpful for future restaurant suggestions. I would hightly recommend the tour. |

| This is a wonderful tour. I can't believe I have been going to the village since 1962 and never knew how much I didn't know about the place. To have the myriad of places to visit whittled down to a choices of the "best" was just terrific! My husband and I really enjoyed finally knowing more details of the history of the area. Our guide was so knowledgeable, anything we asked, she knew the answer. She made our tour just so much fun! Her personality was great, a real "New Yorker"!! I recommend a $ raise for her! Every tour I have taken by the "Foods of New York" has been like a college class in detailed history of places and foods. Thank you so much!! Keep up the good work. I look forward to every tour in the future! Do more parts of Manhattan! |

| Our guide was very engaging and full of great insider information about the food scene in the Central Village and SoHo. Aside from the food, he also was very knowledgeable and had great perspective around the history of the area.
There were lots of tastings and the range of tastings was also impressive in terms of variety of cuisines (both savory and sweet).
My only regret was that we didn't do the tour earlier in our trip so we could go back and do some of the things he mentioned. So if you're planning on doing a tour, do it as early in your trip as possible - you'll want to go eat at some of the restaurants that you hear about on the tour.
I'll do another one the next time I'm in New York for sure. New York is best seen on foot and this tour was a wonderful experience - I highly recommend it. |

| Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and the food selections. Feel like it's a better tour for people who will be in NYC a bit longer than a couple of days so that you can go back to these places and enjoy them. Was a bit disappointed with the 'Soho' part of the tour which amounted to essentially one block of Soho. A great block with 3 good tastings, to be sure. But barely skimmed Soho. This should be called just the Central Village tour. |

| Overall I enjoyed the tour, it was very informative, providing a historical overview of the area and highlighting current hotspots. But since the tour was specifically a "Food Tour" I expected a little more emphasis on the food culture and tastings. I would have appreciated more tasting stops as there was certainly enough time for them. |

| I found that we heard more about the history of the area than the history of the food. The food tastings were excellent, but there weren't many of them. I can't believe the sparse food offerings for the cost of the tour (3 hours). I was also disappointed that we spent almost an hour walking around a park. If that entire section had been cut out, the tour would have been far better. |

| I live here but my sister was visiting me .. and this was her very first trip to US and New York. This tour put her on the top -- not only did we have fun tasting different things, but also the history of the Village - the many interesting people who have frequented these stores, restaurants -- the little gems along the way... :) She of course loved it. I was hoping to get a fun time but I guess even a ntive has much to learn... I would recommend this for one and all.
Diana - you are a considerate, patient guide. |
