I have taken your other tours many times, but this was a first for the Central Village and Soho tour. Lots of great foods to sample--many that I would have never tried on my own. Our guide was very knowledgable and kept all of us together quite efficiently. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes to explore the foods and history of this area. Thanks for the great list of restaurants and stores. Sometime I hope you develop a Soho-only tour in more depth. Returning Seattle-ite.

Good Time

We would recommend this tour. Our only disappointment was that it concentrated in the Village and only briefly included SOHO - we would have liked to have seen and learned more of the SOHO neighborhood. Barri , our tour guide, was excellent and very informative.

This was the first time my husband and I had been to New York. I heard about the walking/eating tours from the Today Show and ordered tickets online. We loved it and would recommend it to everyone! We would never have known about Soho and Greenwich Village, and would have missed one of our most delightful days while in NYC. Our tour guide, Barri, was just great and shared so much history with us. The food was wonderful and was MORE than enough! On our last day in New York we took the subway back to Soho and ate supper at one of the restaurants on the tour, and dessert at another one!

This was a very interesting tour to go on----It had culture as well as the history of the Village and its people. Loved it very much.

Bob, our guide, was delightful. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He made the Chelsea Market come alive with history, interesting facts. Negative: Not really enough tastings. (Compared to other tours.)

The food was great and there was plenty, but the tour of the area / neighborhoods was a real highlight. We had two tour guides (regular and a trainee) and both were excellent. The food focus is things you might not normally try on your own. It was interesting and all very good. Wife and I will be back for another tour.

This tour comes highly recommended by a native New Yorker who now lives in Virginia. There was a good mix of information both cultural, historical, as well as excellent food tastings from select locations along the way. The informaton on rest- aurants, different shops , and specific entertainment spots will serve as a good resource for me when I return to Central Village and Soho in the future. The guide was both personable and knowledgeable and set a comfortable pace for all on this tour.I also liked the fact that we were given written informaton on the spots visited and the tour had a maximum of 16 people which made it easy to keep up with the guide and ask questoins. In a few short hours I felt that I really got to know this area and will be more at ease navigating this section of N.Y. and making better restaurant & eatery choices when I do frequent this area again.

Great Finds

Enjoyed the different locations we visited. Probably would not have sampled many of these foods on my own. Would likely revisit some, but not all. Still, it was good to have the exposure and the background. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I would recommend this to friends who have already experienced Chelsea Food Market or the Original Greenwich Village tour. Thank you.

Recommend walk in cooler weather

Our guide(s) were well informed. They were not unfriendly, but could have been friendlier, such as inquiring about where participants were from and generally seeming more interested in them. Also, when planning August walks, stop at larger businesses so participants can go in to get the food, rather than having the guide(s) go in to get it. It was extremely hot the day of our walk and we did not get out of the heat nearly enough. We had some good sandwich-type foodsl, but the rest was mediocre. Our guide was overheard complaining to her trainee about people lagging behind etc. If I had heard that, she would not have gotten a tip. I know each walk is different with other guides and different food, so I will keep an open mind. I am going on another walk in a couple weeks.
