Interesting and original

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The idea of pairing food tasting with a history of the area is innovative. Handouts are useful. A route map of the tour area with venues numbered, and included in the handout would have made returning to them easier. The Cuban, Italian and Indian foods were marvellous. The middle eastern place fobbed us off with non perishable sweets, instead of something fresh and interesting. Not that the halvah wasn't good, it just didn't require any immediate effort. I think we would have enjoyed a few more items of exotic food to taste, and more opportunity to sit down and taste the food. 3 hours can get very wearing on the feet. Also it is more interesting to go inside the restaurant rather than hang about outside it. At points, we got the impression that participating businesses weren't very interested in the venture. We are not likely to go back to places who are not interested in their potential customers. But on the whole, it was a great experience, and a fun way to discover a part of NYC.

Would definitely reccomend to 1st time visitors. Our tour of Greenwich Village/SoHo included hisorical info of the buildings and area, impact of current events as well as food tastings. Well paced and definitely worth the money. Groups were small enough to be able to hear everything and ask questions if desired. Did return to one of the restaurants for an average dinner, but would try a different one on my next visit.

Our tour guide, Rahim was great! He was so knowledgeable about the area and all of the stops we made. He was very enthusiastic and I highly recommend this tour. Ask for Rahim for your tour.

We had a terrific time on our tour Friday, April 3rd 2009. Our host was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be with. Even though it was raining off and on, our guide still made it a wonderful time. We learned so much and ate so much. Well worth the money and time. It is a great way to see and understand these neighborhoods. Looking forward to our next visit to the City. We will most definitely book another tour. Thank you, Chris and Jamie Orlando, Florida

This was my second tour. My first was the meat packing district, which I loved. So I talked a friend into trying the Soho tour with me. Again it was great and now we are looking forward to doing another in the future. Not only was the food great but the guides knowledge of the neighborhoods history was exceptional.

A DON'T MISS NYC ATTRACTION!

Two years ago we did the Greenwich Village Tour with Kurt and liked it so much that we did another tour this year -- this time the Central Village/Soho Tour with Susan. It was equally wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned so much about the area and tasted some divine foods which we would have never chosen to taste otherwise. Susan was so much fun and informative -- everything you'd want in a tour guide. My only suggestion to those considering the tour is to do this early in your stay since you'll surely want to go back to some of these locations to eat while you're in the city! Thank you, Susan, from your Lancaster County group!

I took this tour with my 11 year old son and my 16 year old exchange student. We all loved it and thought it was the highlight of our visit to New York City. I wish we could have had the time and money to do all four tours. Our tour guide, Susan, was great. If I have one complaint, and it is minor, it was that we spent a lot of time in one restaurant where all we did was look at the restaurant and hear about the menu...without getting to do any tasting. It kind of felt like free advertising for the restaurant without a whole lot of benefit to us. But, as I said, that was a minor point and my son and exchange student didn't think it was a big deal...they were fine with the amount of time we spent there. I have already started recommending this tour to all my friends, coworkers and family...and hope to be able to come back to NYC to take the others. This is absolutely a must-do in New York!!!

it was so nice to see all the family run business and restaurants and that the local people shop locally, not going to the big chain stores as so many of us do the food was great and our tour guide was also, I would recommend this tour to all

Demonstrating Good Taste!

I have taken several out-of-town guests on many of these tours; the tours have all been thoroughly enjoyable, informative and culinarily delightful. However during the last couple of tours the guides, at the outset, have mentioned that gratutities are willingly accepted! I and my guests have found this overt tipping commentary to be rather distasteful and contrary to the character of the event. Maybe a 'tipping' note on your web page (if one exisits I apologise) would be more tactful. I will return. Thank you,
