| I went with my mom, girlfriend and her mom. Had a great time, lots of great information.
Our tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable, and fun! Later in our trip we came back to try some of the restaurants on the tour. Next time I'm in NYC I will book another tour.
I highly recommend this tour!!! |

| I took a group of 6 girl friends on the SoHo tour and we had a fabulous time. I had taken the Greenwich tour in June with my mother and we loved it so much that we talked 5 people into going with us.
The tour was throughly enjoyed by all and we would recommend it to anyone that wants to see and taste, a totally different side of New York. |

| Went on the 10/09 12:00 pm tour. Our tour guide was fabulous- upbeat, organized and informative. I discovered new places to dine and learned about the history of this little area, in a way that may have taken me years to discover on my own. I have already made several recommendations to my family and friends. I am excited to take other tours, including the West Village and Chelsea Market Tours. |

| The food was great, got to try a lot of delish food items I never would have tried on my own.
Guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about village culture, history, food, etc. And funny! Loved learning about the history and food of my neighborhood! I walk by these places all the time and never had a clue about many of these places.
Highly recommend for a great afternoon of fun, food, and getting to know the area. If you are a tourist, you will leave this tour with a better understanding of the village / SoHo and a HUGE list of things to do after the tour! |

| Our tour guide, Rahim, was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, a couple of things distracted from our enjoyment of the tour. First, he spent a significant amount of time bashing NYU. He should temper his comments. Second, I lost count of the number of times he said, "o.k., the thing is guys..." Bottom line, his young age showed through, i.e. lack of maturity. Susan, another tour guide, was with us on the tour but Rahim was running the show. Based on the reviews I read of Susan before the tour, I really wish she had run the tour instead. |

| A friend of mine organized a group of us to try the tour, and it was fantastic! Susan was our tour guide, and we spent three hours walking around, having many delicious tastings, and getting an extremely interesting lesson on the history of the area. I live locally and learned a great deal about the neighborhood, while discovering lots of restaurants and food shops that I was not previously familiar with. Highly recommended!!! |

| I had attended the same tour last year with another group and enjoyed it so much that I booked it again to take a friend this time that had never been to NYC before. Rahim was excellent and he even remembered me from last years tour! He was just as knowledgeable and fun to tour with this year. There were a few different food stops this time, which was good to change it up a bit. I would recommend this tour to other friends visiting the NYC area. |

| We had a great time on the tour, we learned a lot about the neighborhood, things you would never know by just walking around on your own. And... the food was great, especially the Indian Bread Company :-). |

| This was our second tour; we did the Central Village tour last Thanksgiving it was with Cindy and it was fantastic). Our guide (Rahim..sp??) was wonderfully enthusiastic and humorous, BUT, he kept callings the group "guys" WAY too many times, as in "OK, guys, let's go here" or "Hey, guys, this is a really great place....". Also, we had two run-ins with neighbors. They were silly/stupid/inappropriate locals, BUT, it appeared to us that Rahim was too confrontational with them. It felt awkward.
Also, some of his neighborhood facts/comments were not correct. I'm by no means an NYC expert, but he'd say things that I knew simply were not true from a common sense standpoint. For instance, he told us that St. Anthony's Church (1860's) was the oldest parish in NYC. That's not true...it's the oldest parish in NYC specifically serving the Italian community.....the plaque says so.
Lastly, it just felt that much of his recommendations were advertising for places along the route rather than discussions on food diversity and availability. It's hard to describe what made it seem that way, but it just did!
Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will do another one of your food tours on our next visit. |

| This tour was unique in that you really felt immersed in the culture and history of the Village and SoHo. By the time we were done, we felt like we knew the streets and could navigate back to where we had been to check out the stores & eateries in more detail. Other reviews mention that they wish they had allotted for time to hang out in the Village after the tour, and we highly agree. We wished we hadn't made theatre reservations so that we could have just wandered and explored the neighborhoods futher while eating our way through.
The cultural/historical background really helped us to absorb the vibe of these culturally rich neighborhoods of New York in a way that you would never realize by just walking around. Susan did a great job at explaining the history and talking about the individual eateries and how everything has evolved over time to what makes these neighborhoods so amazing today. She also did a great job at keeping us on schedule realizing that 3 hours means 3 hours so that you can plan your day when many are trying to pack a lot into what they are seeing while in the city. This was by far a unique experience and one that I wished I had done sooner. Can't wait to take the other tours offered now, too! |
