Central Village/SoHo Food & Culture Tour

We really enjoyed our tour. Although I actually know the area fairly well, the tour still took us to several enjoyable spots where we had never been. The food was excellent overall. Our guide (Barri) was great. She was very enthusiastic, engaging, and knowledgeable about the local area, was able to offer unique snippets of local history that none of us knew, and pointed out some other nice places for us to come back and check out. We had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend the tour!

Great food, good walk, nice people, an worhwhile way to spend a day in New York.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour - walking tours are a great way to explore a city. Bari was very friendly and helpful and gave a lot of insight into the area/shops/people/restaurants. The history lesson was very interesting as well. Now for the food, please go with an empty stomach!! We sampled several different ethnic cuisines, all of which were delish!! We would highly recommend this tour, it will be a great part of your visit to NYC.

We stopped into little hidden gems to eat that I would never have gone into on my own. Our guide also pointed out many of the other shops and entertainment venues. We got a little of the history of the area and had a great afternoon.

My daughter and I came to NYC to ring in the New Year. We had been to NYC a couple of years before and had gone on the Greenwich Village tour so we decided we would like to do another one. We picked the SoHo tour and had a really good time. Our tour guide, Raheem, was great! He knew so much about the neighborhood and gave some great details. We even twirled to the piano playing in Washington Square! All of the places where we sampled food were delicious. We were a little hesitant about some of the stops, but everything was really good...except the Yucca....sorry Raheem! We especially loved the Indian food! The best part of the whole experience was when we went to Joe's Dairy. Raheem had told us the story about how Joe had trained a boy named Anthony from a young age to make the mozzarella and then eventually sold Anthony the business. While we were sampling the homemade mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes, Anthony's dad came out and asked how everything was. It was really interesting to talk with him about the store and how everyone keeps trying to get the tomato recipe from him. He said he's been asked for twenty years for that recipe and he always tells everyone "FUHGEDDABOUDIT!" which received a huge roar of laughter from the group. We have been on two tours now and they both were great! I highly recommend that anyone who wants to know a little about NYC, meet some interesting people and places, and taste some delicious food to sign up for the tour. We know we will next time we are in NYC!

We had a FANTASTIC tour! Our guide Rahim was very knowledgable about the city and the culture of the area (Greenwich & SoHo). He was interesting to listen to and had some great suggestions. He could also read the group really well! This is my 2nd NYC food tour with this company and I was NOT disappointed. We brought 5 our friends and they were impressed too! It is too bad the rest of our group could not make it, but as it turned out the extra good eats did not go to waste! Thanks Rahim for making our trip to NYC memorable! All the best to you.

Went with two friends as part of a birthday celebration. The food was excellent, tour was interesting, guide was fun. Great day in the village. Can't wait to go back!!

My husband, son, age 16, and I had a wonderful time on our food tour of SoHo and the East Village. Our guide, Susan, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and gave us a very "real" feeling of the neighborhoods. We were stuffed by the end of the tour and later in the week returned to one of the restaurants on the tour. We would recommend this to anyone who likes food and is interested in the history of the area. There is no way we could have walked around the same neighborhood by ourselves and experienced what we did without the tour and Susan. We will definitely be returning for more!

We had such a great time on this tour with Susan. She gave us some history of the neighborhood, was friendly and kept us on pace, and the food tastings were great. I did this tour with my two adult daughters, and we all enjoyed it very much. On top of everything else, one of my daughters just recently found out she had a food allergy, and the tour was extremely accomodating without making her feel singled out or out of place. We all highly recommend the tour, and the food! We would also go back for another tour of a different neighborhood.

The tour guide was great, the group was lovely and the tour was fun, informative and delicious. My daughter and I had a most enjoyable afternoon on the Central Village/SoHo Food and Culture Tour. I would highly recommend this tour.
