A tour such as this gives you an in-depth view of a small part of NYC. The history of the area spans several centuries.

-enthusiastic, knowledgeable tour guide -wide variety of ethnic foods enjoyed -appropriate length for tour -great handout -wish we could have scheduled it earlier in our week's stay in Manhattan -wish more tours of interest to us had not already been filled -will alert other New York travelers to book early

I enjoyed seeing the neighborhood and hearing about its history. The food, though, was less interesting than I expected. The Greenwich Village and Chelsea Market tours offered better selections.

Myself and two daughters thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was friendly and answered all our questions. Very helpful and fun. Would definitely do one of these tours on my next visit.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Susan, was extremely knowledgeable and articulate. She was so comfortable guiding the group that she led us confidently and easily through the area. At the beginning she learned our names and by the end even knew things about each person on the tour, including food preferences. The foods sampled were varied and representative of the wide variety in the Village--from modern peanut butter menu to traditional Italian cheese-making. Several of us were not even hungry at suppertime because the portions were very generous. Two of our family members have lived or live now in NYC, even close enough to walk to the tour. Even for them the information and the sites that we visited were new and taught them a lot about the area. I will definitely plan to do one of your other food tours when I am in NYC again!

My daughter and her family were visiting from Ohio for the holiday weekend and we ussually plan some activity for them to do in NYC. My neighbors told me about the "Walking Tours" and how great they are so we tried it . We will certainly do it again and will try the other tours. Our tour guide was Raheem and he did a very nice job; pleasant and personable. Ross Morrone

The tour was fine, it lasted a little too long perhaps because of the long trip round Washingon Square. The food was fine but could be more interesting. The first dish at the Indian restaurant was great but it was downhill from there (we left before the last too restaurants as we had another appointment. It was nearly four PM at the time). I would recommend this tour to friend.

Central Village /SoHo Food & Cultural Tour

Our guide was a young man by the name of Raheem. Raheem, having attended nearby NYU, shared many of his experiences in the village from a personal perspective that genuinely enhanced his knowledge of the area. Not only was his knowledge of food and beverage exceptional, but his knowledge of the area's history and cultural nuances was also exceptional. His interest in his subject material was one of genuine interest which connected well with everyone on tour contributing to the group harmony. My wife and i were spending the week in NYC which had many diverse activities. At the conclusion of this afternoon, we felt the experience was well worth it and we highly recommend this tour, particularly with Raheem as the guide.

Two of us have taken your Greenwich Village and Chelsea Market tours. Because we raved about them I was able to convince 2 others who live in NJ to meet us for this one. We all agreed the guide was very good and we enjoyed all the information. The two from NJ went to lunch afterwards as they were hungry. We didn't do that but did head for the bakery to fill the empty spot. The place that the tour met and I can't remember the name now was wonderful. We were a bit early and he invited us to sit down and brought us water. We certainly would go there for a meal the next time we're in NYC. Too bad we didn't get to sample his fare as part of the tour. Sorry to be so late with this review but I never use my yahoo account and just found the e-mail. We hope by the time we come back to NYC next year you have another tour lined up maybe in a different part of the city. We aren't interested in sushi.

My wife and I most especially want to express our delight with our female guide. She knew so much about the history of the Village and made it so real for us with her personal experiences. Her personality was nothing less than exceptional. Since it started raining midway through the tour, she had to improvise to keep the weather from being a problem, which she did with a fair amount of skill. You are most fortunate to have this young lady on your staff (I think her name was Diana, but I am not sure). Tandy and wife Sue Walker Arlington, Texas
