| Our tour group consisting of 12 had a terrific time....altho it was pouring so hard and throughout the entire 3 hours--- our socks and some of our shoes got soaking wet!! No one complained of the rainy situation --instead this was a positive and fun bunch of people. The food was an exciting, different, and a delicious experience. In June 2005 we took the Chelsea walking tour and loved it. We wholeheartedly recommend this to people who want an escorted adventure!!! |

| Barri, the tour guide, was the best part of the tour. She was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the area.
If there is not going to be a break in the walkiing, that needs to be stated in the write up. I went with a group of ten women and it was very tiring for many of them. We had been on the previous tours and there was always a stop to sit and catch your breath...this definitely needs to be included on this tour for it to be enjoyable for many. Also, the food on this tour is very ethnic...it would be better if there was a better mix of the food. Many in our group did not enjoy the food selections...how about a regular bakery or a chocolate shop? We were all definitely craving something sweet after the tour. I would hope that you could make some adjustments so that this trip would measure up to the two previous trips. |

| I have been waiting for years for another Foods of New York tour. I have taken each of their other two tours twice, but was hoping for a new one. This one was fantastic. Interesting streets, great history, delicious food, and a great guide (Barri). I highly recommend it! |

| My dad, my 16 year old son, and I took this tour. I've taken the other two food and culture tours offered by this company, and this one was my favorite. I thought the tour was excellent. The only downside was the cold weather. Standing in Washington Square Park with the blowing wind was more then my dad could take. He is from South Florida, and he had to go back to one of the restaruants that we visited and wait for us to pick him up after the tour was over. Barrie, our tour guide, did an excellent job and knew the area well. I've visited this part of the city several times, and I now feel like I have a much better understanding of the history, shops, and resturants that make up Central Greenwich Village and SOHO. The food was excellent, and I appreciated the variety. We did not go away hungry. Of the three tours offered by Food Tours of New York, this was my favorite. All three tours were staffed by experienced tour guides who know their stuff. When I booked the tour back in February, I thought it would be warmer the first week of April. Who would have guessed that the temperature would be in the 30s and windy. That was the only downside. Burr... it was cold. In hindsight, for dad’s sake, it might have been better to bag the tour and visit one of the fine New York museums instead. |

| As with the other tours this one was excellant. Barri did a great job giving us a true taste of ethnic NYC. The weather was cold but we barely felt it with all the activity. Lots of places I would definitely go back to. If you are looking to make improvements though I would find just a few more places to 'sit'. 2 hours into the tour I found myself searching for a second wind. (Of course I found it at the next tasting :) ). |
