| I had such great time on this tour! I was so happy to be acquainted with the non-mainstream New York! I have a list of places to go to dinner as well as a whole new area to explore! |

| Our tour guide Diana was extremely knowlegeable about the SoHo area. The food samples were great to try. They picked things you probably wouldn't normally try on your own. I highly recommend this tour, but do it at the beginnings of your trip, so then you're informed of places to go & eat/try, |

| Our tour was in Oct 2008 with Rahim. The whole experience was amazing from our first meeting right through to the end of the tour. Rahim was extrememly knowledgeable about the village and the different sites and I found the tour informative and the food selections to be excellent and varied. I highly recommend this tour and would love to go back to New York to try to other tours offered. |

Anyways...everyone i told said when they come to NY, they will definately book the tour.

| I can't recommend this enough, the tour was fascinating and the food delicious. It really gives you a lot more than just walking around by yourself. The guide was excellent. We'll be doing the classic tour next time we're in NYC. |

| I've now done all three of the Foods of New York tours and have never regretted any of them. I will say that of the three, this was my least favorite and I would recommend one of the other two tours if you've only got the time for one. But if you can, do all three! They're great for native New Yorkers and tourists alike. I liked the history on the Greenwich Village tour the most and the food on the Chelsea Market tour the most. But the Soho tour is also perfectly delightful. |

| Our tour guide, Barri, was incredibly knowlegeable about the history of Greenwhich Village and the SOHO area. Each tasting was DELICIOUS and well planned out! You get diverse tasting from Indian Kathi rolls to Greek yogurt. Our group of 3 spent the rest of the afternoon going back to make purchases from many of the shops! Our group also used the previous years' tour of Greenwhich village to make dinner reservations for this year's New York visit. Our group has attended every FoodTours tour and we hope they keep adding more!! But a repeat tour would be just as fun I am sure!!! We'll be back next year!!! |

| As great as both of the other tours, this one touches on so many different types of food. Lots of historical info as well. Barri was a super guide, professional and knowledgeable.
We have so many places to re-visit. I hope Foods of NY adds lots more tours. It's a big city! |

| This was our second tour; we did the Central Village tour last Thanksgiving it was with Cindy and it was fantastic). Our guide (Rahim..sp??) was wonderfully enthusiastic and humorous, BUT, he kept callings the group "guys" WAY too many times, as in "OK, guys, let's go here" or "Hey, guys, this is a really great place....". Also, we had two run-ins with neighbors. They were silly/stupid/inappropriate locals, BUT, it appeared to us that Rahim was too confrontational with them. It felt awkward.
Also, some of his neighborhood facts/comments were not correct. I'm by no means an NYC expert, but he'd say things that I knew simply were not true from a common sense standpoint. For instance, he told us that St. Anthony's Church (1860's) was the oldest parish in NYC. That's not true...it's the oldest parish in NYC specifically serving the Italian community.....the plaque says so.
Lastly, it just felt that much of his recommendations were advertising for places along the route rather than discussions on food diversity and availability. It's hard to describe what made it seem that way, but it just did!
Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will do another one of your food tours on our next visit. |
