| The 3 hour food tour with Rahim our guide was enjoyable. He was funny and articulate. The tour not only introduces some of the best restaurants in town but also history about the area. This is a good value for money and I would recommend to anyone who loves food. We have indeed visited a few places the tour covered which were not recommended by any printed guidebooks. |

| We have been to New York a few times and were looking for something different than the "typical" tours. A native New Yorker actually recommended the tour and we were thrilled. It was just up our alley~ food, culture, and history. The tour exceeded our expectations. We look forward to returning to New York and participating in a different neighborhood tour. We have been recommending it to everyone we tell about our great trip~ tourists and locals alike! |

| Four college friends visiting from MS. Rahim was the best! He knew so much about the area and about the different cuisine. He made it fun and we will look for another tour with him on future trips to NYC! Thanks to him for making our venture thru these new cultures so enjoyable! The pizza at Grandaisy was wonderful and we tried Monte's the next night and it was even better than our tasting!
Thank you! |

| Really enjoyed the Central Village/SoHo Culture and Food Tour. The guide Rahim (sp?) did a fantastic job. He really knew his stuff and it was great to hear about places that weren't necessarily a part of the tour. Would recommend this even for New Yorkers who still haven't toured much of the city. The guide the group rec'd was a bonus so that we could remember all the places of interest and already have a 'must see/should visit list'. Thanks for that.
Recommendation for those who wish to take this tour: If there is a certain type of food you don't care for, you should mention it when you sign up. Yes, you need to be open to new foods but you certainly don't want to have to miss out on several tastings if you don't like a particular food and maybe they can have an alternative. For example, don't have a peanut allergy I just don't care for the taste of nuts. So I chose to miss out on two of the tastings b/c of it but perhaps if I would have mentioned it when I bought the ticket there could have been an alternative. But this in no way took anything from the tour...again it was great. |

| The tour guide was great and the food was even better. It's worth while to go on these tours because you get to know more of the area than just going through it yourself. It's a three hours well spent. I think it's even better than the more touristy places like times square. There were a lot of family owned restaurants that serve a lot of good quality food. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to eat and who loves to explore new places. |

| SO THIS IS THE SECOND TOUR WE HAVE TAKEN, THE FIRST ONE BEING THE GREENWICH VILLAGE TOURS. OUR GUIDE WAS DIANA AS IN BANANA (HER WORDS). SHE WAS PLEASANT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND MADE AN EFFORT AFTER THE TOUR TO GET EVERYBODY WHERE THEY NEED TO GO AND ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS.
THE TOUR STARTED OFF STRONG AT THE INDIAN BREAD COMPANY AND THE TASTING WAS OUTSTANDING. NEXT ONTO MONTES FOR RAVIOLI AND AGAIN OUTSTANDING. THE 3RD TASTING (I FORGET THE NAME) WAS SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE NEVER TRIED ON MY OWN, BUT A VERY GOOD SWEET TREAT. THERE WAS A NICE BREAK BETWEEN TASTING # 3 AND 4 WHICH WAS GREAT AS WE WERE GETTING STUFFED AND NEEDED TO DIGEST. THE BIG LET DOWN WAS THE TASTING AT PEANUT BUTTER & CO. WE HAD A THINLY SLICED CHICKEN WITH A SPICY PEANUT BUTTER AND A PINAPPLE CHUTNEY SERVED ON WHEAT BREAD. NOT ENOUGH PEANUT BUTTER WAS ON THE CHICKEN TO REALLY SAMPLE THE PB AND THE WHOLE THING WOULD HAVE TASTED BETTER IT WS SERVED IN A WRAP RATHER THAN THE WHEAT BREAD. ALSO, I HAVE SEEN PEANUT BUTTER & CO PRODUCTS IN WALMART SO IT KIND OF TAKES AWAY FROM THE "LOCAL" FLAVOR OF THE SOHO TOUR EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THAT THE PRODUCT ORIGINATED IN SOHO.
A COUPLE OF THE ITALIAN TASTINGS LIKED SMOKED MOZZARELLA AND SAUSAGE TASTING WERE OKAY BUT NOT A SLAM DUNK IN MY MIND. MANY OF THE GROCERIA OFFERINGS, WE HAVE IN THE ITALIAN ISLE OF MARKET BASKET GROCERY STORE IN OUR AREA. THE LAST TASTING AT GRANDDAISY WAS LOVELY.
OVERALL THE CULTURE PORTION OF THE TOUR WAS NICE, I WILL ALWAYS MARVEL AT REAL ESTATE PRICES IN NY.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO MAKE A CHOICE BETWEEN THE GREENWICH VILLAGE TOUR AND SOHO TOUR, I WOULD CHOOSE GREENWICH. IN MY OPINION EVERY TASTING ON THE GREENWICH TOUR WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD AND ALTHOUGH WE WERE FILLED UP ON THE SOHO TOUR, I THINK THE PORTIONS ON THE GREENWICH TOUR WERE A BIT HEARTIER. I JUST LIKE THE VIBE BETTER IN GREENWICH VILLAGE. THAT BEING SAID, I AM SO HAPPY WE WENT ON THE TOUR AND LEARNED IN DEPTH ABOUT ANOTHER GREAT AREA OF NY. MY ONLY OTHER SUGGESTION WOULD BE THAT A 2 HOUR TOURS VS 3 HOUR TOURS WOULD BE DESIRABLE.
DIANA THANKS FOR A LOVELY AFTERNOON AND UNCLE BILL GAVE US FREE BAGELS. |
