I brought my 16-year-old niece with me. It was a great introduction to a great neighborhood, a place that is part of my own history, and one that I wanted to share with her. The tour gave more information than I could myself. And she could try foods that she might not try if asked to by Mom and Dad. Rashim was very knowledgable about the area, its features and history; about the restaurants, their strong points and specialties; about the food establishments and how they make their products. I was a little unsure if my niece would enjoy the afternoon, and I'm happy to report that she THOROUGHLY enjoyed herself. As did myself! This is not the first Foods of NY tour I've gone on and it certainly won't be my last.

I thought that this tour was excellent! All of the food was delicious and there was enough for lunch. It was really nice to hear the history of this area of Manhattan. I would recommend this to anyone, even picky eaters.

| What a treat…to deliciously find our way through an undiscovered (to me) part of the city and dive deep into the culture and history of the neighborhood. Our tour guide was personable, enthusiastic, well-spoken and quite knowledgeable. Each stop was better than the first…a joy for the every sense! Each vendor was hospitable and welcoming.
I have now been on two of your food tours and can't wait to make it a third...
Thanks...Simone Simon |

Our group enjoyed many aspects of the tour. Our tour guide did a great job both from a food understanding and area historical side. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants and food samplings we had ,and enjoyed revisiting one for a great lunch. The only element that was a challenge is that everywhere we went seemed to be a bit tired and old. We ended up feeling that this was part of the character of the environment and were happy to have had samples and introductions to each place, as we would probably not have ever gone into any of them on our own. Again, the guide was great about the area history as we walked through the tour, making this a very well-rounded tour. I would do it again and try other areas to see the variety offered in those.

A great way to learn where the locals go for the best food and sample a bit here and there. Little restaurants that you might otherwise miss or pass up and great food shops plus some history about the area. We loved every minute of the tour and meeting the others in our group. Wish the others had dressed warmer for the weather. It was hard watching them shiver in the cold while we were comfortable during the times we stood around outside listening to our guide Diana's stories. Diana was lots of fun with an awesome story of her own family history and she gave a great printed list so we were able to make notes for future reference.

As cold as it was, the tour guide kept checking if we were too cold and we had most of the tours inside as it got colder into the afternoon. The tour guide knew her stuff about the area and I learnt alot about the area as well as the good places to eat. Very well done!

Thank for a great tour. I enjoyed seeing so much variety in the village and Soho. Our tour guide was full of great info about the area. What a treat to see how smoked mozzarella is made and taste some of the best italian food. Can't wait to go back and explore again myself. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes food and a little history.

ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND!! Both my roommate and I agreed that this ranks the top when it comes to describing our favorite NY experiences! The tour guide was endlessly knowledgeable and it was a delight to learn so much detail about the neighborhood and culture of this area! Who knew the streets that I walk every day had such a story to them? The food was obviously a treat to be able to try so many varieties of food and feeling welcome in every establishment. My roommate even went out to one of the restaurants that evening and had an amazing time as well! We'll be trying one of the other stops tonight actually! Even the downpour rain didn't sour the experience because you have not really experienced NY until you've been caught in a downpour. Thanks for any amazing experience, I'll be sure to keep food tours of NY in my book as an activity for both locals and tourists alike.

we enjoyed the winter central village tour and guide, and moving into warm spaces to hear local history. the info and tastings were great...the only disappointment was the halva in the falafel shop. we were ushered past the roasting meat and had hoped to taste it. also the west village tour left us full from the many and good sized tastings, but some of the samples on central village tour were small.
