We were a group of 3 thirty-something friends and a 14 year old who were all very enthusiastic about the tour. The guide presented lots of information about the Village and So/Ho in a fun and dynamic manner. The food was outstanding. Do this tour on the first day that you are in town, so that you have time to go back to all the restuarants!
We will certainly rebook with you on our next trip back-- it was a great time. |

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable; food samples were delish, especially the first one from the Indian bakery and the last one from the Greek yogurt joint. And the gnocchi at the Italian joint, where we were seated and the chef actually came out and gave us the recipe for the delicious pasta! That, more than anything, really made the tour special. We also enjoyed the bits of music/culture history, such as the stop at Bob Dylan's former home. Two thumbs up from these Southern Californians!
Only nitpick: The peanut butter sandwiches, although delicious, weren't cut apart adequately and that sampling was a little difficult logistically since there was no place to sit down. |

I highly recommend this tour as you will get to know the neighborhood alot better and actually know where to eat that isn't a tourist trap. I went back to at least two restaurants from the tour and had a full meal which was great. There is quite a bit of walking on the tour but anyone travelling in New York City realizes that you walk alot no matter what but they even provide you with a bottle of water. Our tour guide went to NYU and so you really get a 'feel' of his passion for this area of New York. Any 'foodie' would be crazy not to want to go on this tour. The best place had to be Monte's. The chef is amazing, and very approachable and humble. I would go on this tour again and again and even try the other tours that they have listed. I cannot recommend this place enough! Truly great!! |

I really liked the tour. Next time I visit ny, I want to stay in the village. The tour gave me knowledge of the area and sparked my interest to really be there and get to know all the places, the guide reviewed, on my own. I like that now I know where to go. Also, the food and the historical information was great. |

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour...the great picks for food sampling, the wonderful tidbits of information about the neighborhood, the guide's obvious appreciation for, and personal history with, the area. This walking tour is the best way to see, hear, touch, smell and taste the neighborhood...to soak it all in.
Only suggestions would be to try harder to end on time and be able to give quick directions to the nearest subway, trains, etc., especially since the tour didn't end where it began. |

Raheen is quite loquacious and full of quirky details about the Village and Soho. The spicey peanut butter was "WOW". |

Raheem our guide did an outstanding job! I have been on the Chelsea Market and Greenwich Village tour and enjoyed both very much, but Raheem made this trip! His knowledge of the area was unbelievable. The food was also interesting, but the information on the area was definitely the best part of the tour. |
