The culture part of this tour was very informative and entertaining as presented by our enthusiastic guide. While the tasting samples were varied and appealing , the number of delicacies/venues visited was not generous. I took the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour last year and thought it a better value. However, on this tour my guest, who is from from New Zealand, loved every minute!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and pleasant. We found the history of the area very interesting and our guide added to it by sharing personal stories of her family who had lived in the area. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants and shops who provided tastings and really liked all the foods we tried. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have the time to purchase items at the restaurants and shops we stopped at, such as the peanut butter, homemade pastas, sausage, etc. Because the tour was spread out, retracing our steps to make these purchases afterwards would have been tiring and timely to do. If you could allow for a little extra time for purchases I'm sure it would be beneficial to all --we could take home some new found favorites and the shops would make a few extra sales for the day. We were so impressed with the tasting at Monty's that we returned there a few days later and enjoyed a fantastic dinner! This is our 2nd Foods of New York tour and we're looking forward to doing another on our next trip to NYC.

This was my first visit to Central Village/SoHo and I was impressed with our walking tour guide who highlighted the best of Central Village/SoHo in a short amount of time. The wide variety of food tasting was great and the history behind this small part of Manhattan was very educational. I can't wait to return to the village to try these fabulous restaurants. My only advice is to wear good walking shoes and come hungry.

This was our second tour, we did the Original Village tour two years ago. This time we (four sisters) took our husbands. We took the tour the first morning of our week long visit to New York and found ourselves back in the village to enjoy the resturants and shops many times during the week. Our husbands enjoyed the tour as much as we did. The food tours are one of our favorite activities because they are so informative and help us to feel at home in new areas of the city.

| Our guide Suzy knows more about New York, and the Village in particular, than do many lifelong residents. Her knowledge and presentation made information I have read about come alive.
The tastings were abundant, well-chosen, and simply delicious. I will be booking a tour again next year, and spending time and money comfortably in the Village because of this superb and tasty tour. |

The tour was great but it is a little long--I thought the tour guide should have kept us moving a little quicker. I know she didn't want to seem to rush us but towards the end we were tired and it would have been better if she had just hurried us along the whole time to get everything in 3 hours or less....

This was a repeat (went as a couple in February) and we took a group of 9 family members. We loved the history, details, and of course the food and the tour guide! The weather was fabulous - a wonderful day. You won't know NYC until you take one of these tours.

We have been on the other food tours and loved them. This was the only one we had not been on. Our tour guide - Susan - was very knowledgeable (I guess because she grew up in this area) and she was very nice (which we love about the people in NY). We really enjoyed the stops especially the Peanut Butter Company where I bought a cookbook and a jar of peanut butter and just tonight recreated one of their creations for dinner. Who ever came up with the idea for NY City food tours is a genius and we want to thank him!

I enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and sampling the food was fun. However, I would recommend slowing the walking pace. Also, the Greenwich Village tour had more foods to sample so I would recommend more foods to sample on this tour as well. Thank you!

The tour guide was great and the food was even better. It's worth while to go on these tours because you get to know more of the area than just going through it yourself. It's a three hours well spent. I think it's even better than the more touristy places like times square. There were a lot of family owned restaurants that serve a lot of good quality food. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to eat and who loves to explore new places.
