Our tour was packed full of neat factual info about both the foods and the neighborhoods. Our guide kept us moving quickly and eating expeditiously. He was tremendous, even in the rain shower !

Thought that there could have been more of the foods than the culture and history. we did your Chelsea tour a month prior and thought that was better, great! I think less places with more of a focus. Although we had a great time!

First of all, I wanted to say we visited a total of 8 places while in the ad you only listed 6. I would suggest to change the ad. Secondly, nearly 1.5 hours walking did kill your feet. We had food in the first 45 mins in 3 places and last 45 mins in 4. I would suggest to make a slightly adjustment for the walking route. Since we left around lunch hour, so it's better we can have more food before we head to a 1.5 hours walking tour. Overall, our tour guide Dianna is a very pleasant person. As for the food, the first sandwish in Focacceria Italian Eatery was not too impressive. Masala Times (Indian Street Food) made me feel happy and look forward for our next taste. Unfortunately the noodle in the Monte's Homestyle Italian Restaurant disappointed me again. It's a shame althought this restaurant might have a wonderful history but If they can't showcase their food well, visitors will not go back. I like the atmosphere of Cuba Restaurant. Their food was not bad I liked the yuka especially. But again, did those food really showcast Cuban culture? I really don't think so. We also need more time so we could finish the drink we ordered here. The smoke mozzarella and sundried tomata in Joe's Dairy/Cheese Shop was memorable. Although we didn't get a change to get inside. Chocolate pear tart in Once Upon a Tart Bakery/Cafe was just okay. So overall, food experience I will only give a 3.5, considering the money we spent was mainly for that. However the highlight for the day were the sandwich in Masala Times and smoke mozzarella/sundried tomato in Joe's Dairy/Cheese Shop, I will give them both a 5. To rate this food and cultural tour, I will give it a 4. Lastly, I also wanted to add the after tour survey was a great tool. It will help those restautants to change their menus so they can grow their business better......

Neighborhood Gems+ Architecture + History + FOOD

Our guide (R__) was very knowledgeable and entertaining as well as a NY native who shared boyhood stories and family traditions. Tastings were so abundant that even dinner could be skipped. We learned about not only food preparation and ingredients, but also history of the neighborhoods and family establishments that have been in existence for decades. This is truly a good way to experience neighborhood living (away from the normal touristy celebrity chef promos). This is our second NYC food tour with this company and we recommend them highly.

We loved this tour. We wanted to learn about one of the neighborhoods of NYC and this was exactly what we were looking for. Our guide, Raheem, was so full of facts and history and he had so much enthusiasm for the different foods we tried. He took us to perfect places to sample many different outstanding foods and each was so very unique. The cheesecake we sampled was our favorite. We can't wait to return to New York City to take another tour of a different neighborhood. Would highly recommend this tour group to everyone!

It was a fun time with friends, the tour guide was very informative and remembered everyones names on the tour. There was enough food, and a great variety, no need for lunch as described on the website. I would definitely do this again.
