WOW - Susan was such a great guide on this tour

This was the second time I went on a Foods of NY Tour and again it was great! Susan, our guide, was so enthusiastic and lively that the tour was more than a regular food tour, it was an immersion in Greenwich Village! She explained lots of little d├ętails, asked everyone of us about what we liked: I was thrilled by her performance as a guide!!! The chosen spots were great and we could grasp the feeling of Greenwich Village. Starting with a nice slice of pizza with thin crust, then trying Indian or Cuban food was definitely nice and exotic. Discovreies that will help plan future trips to Greenwich! Thank you so much Susan for the wonderful time we've had during what appeared as a too short time (a bit more than 3 hours)!

More food than tour

The tour guide was delightful and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious but there was too much of it. No one forced me to eat it all but I wanted to experience the ethnic foods for which I had paid. More history and two less eateries would be the right balance in my estimation. I am always enthusiastic about Zerve but I would be thrilled beyond belief if we had heard more history and lore and eaten a little less food.

This was the only tour in NY where you can come away informed and full. We had fun meeting people from different walks of life over great and different food.

A great way to spend an afternoon

We had a great time. Susan, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and also knew how to handle the crowd. We were 8 people out of the 16 on the tour celebrating my wife's birthday. We all enjoyed Susan's knowledge of the history as well as the food in the area. The food was delicious. My only criticism was in the sit down restaurants, they automatically added a 20% tip on the drinks and then left a line for an additional tip. This scam should not be part of the fabulous tour we had.

Nice glimpse of Greenwich Village

This tour is a nice way to get a layout of Central Greenwich Village. It allows you to appreciate the diverse eateries and also get a glimpse into the history of the Village. The food tastings were diverse and provided a good representation of what is available in the Village. The guide was friendly & had an intimate knowledge of the area and eateries. It's a fun way to spend a few hours and get some ideas of where to eat/drink in the Village.

Diana's knowledge and the food were awesome

I came into town alone for a few days to see NYC and wanted to see some of the cultural history in NYC. Diana, our tour guide, grew up in the area and was incredibly gifted at telling stories that went along with our food. The choices of food pushed outside my normal buys and she showed us that a facade is often not telling enough about the inside of the restaurants. I met new people and the 4 hours passed by so quickly. Totally loved this and will do again.
