Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Particularly liked Raheem. He was informative and made everything come alive for us - the city, the foods, the area. We are telling all our friends! However, the foods gave us indigestion. Were a little on the spicy side for our 58 and 68 year old taste buds. But that said, we'd do it again in a heartbeat -- and probably will when we come back to NY. Raheem said you may take this international and if you do, sign us up to travel with you to wherever you go... |

The samples were very good. The tour was a little long since a third of the establishments do not participate in taste testing. I was impressed with the guide's knowledge of the history, architecture, and restaurants of this tour. |

Excellent guide.
Actual map of tour would make it easier to return to areas of interest. |

My friend and I visiting from Canada thoroughly enjoyed the tour, despite the rain. Rahim was exceptionally knowledgeable and personable, and all of the places visited were excellent.
I would recommend that participants check the weather forecast before coming, and bring an umbrella! |

Our walking tour allowed us to taste food items of restaurants that we would not normally have visited. It was fun, informative and enlightening. Diana, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the Village. Diana kept our group together as we walked throughout the various streets. Our group of 4 met the next day at Caffe Del Mare for drinks, proceeded to a wonderful dinner at Monte's, then drinks and dancing at the Blue Note. We had a wonder exposure to the Village neighborhood and would highly recommend the tour. We would have liked the tour to include a visit a "Pub" that would allow liquids as well as "spirits", but the our was about food and exposure to the variety of options in the neighborhood. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the tour. |

The informational content was good, interesting and topical. There was not one food item offered that made me want to hurry back to that restaurant/store to further my dining experience.
I wish there had been some good lasagna offered, but it was Indian, Israeli, Jamaican, etc...not what I thought I would be in for. I thought/hoped it would be less international fare and more standard choices.
It was certainly not an unpleasant experience but with the ground covered and food intake offered, we left looking for something to eat. That was disappointing.
Thanks |

Our walking food tour was fantastic! Rahim was a great guide and we learned sooooo much about the village area, it's history and those who live there. I would do it again and again. Wear good walking shoes! Well worth the cost! |

The tour was not only informative, but fun! I can't wait to go back to the area to try some of the dining suggestions. My 15 year old daughter and 13 year old friend did NOT want to go on the tour but admitted later they would go on another one. They also liked the choice of samples! Raheem was full of information and suggestions, he also had a nice edge to his comments so it did not seem like a "guided" tour. After the tour we went back to 3 of the small stores for snacks and purchases to take home. I cannot think of a negative regarding the tour. |

My adult daughter and I decided to take this tour because she is a culinary craftsman and enjoys all sorts of different foods. I was so pleased we had done this tour. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and patient and managed to keep everyone interested for the 2+ hours of our adventure through the streets of SOHO and the Village. She spoke well and shared so many interesting history tidbits and local flavor facts/legends which simply added to the entire experience. I even got to try foods I would never have tried on my own and I discovered that I enjoyed that whole "going out of the box with foods" thing. My daughter and I both were quite pleased and felt we certainly got our money's worth. |
