Foods of NY Tours delivers again!

My wife and I are return customers. We are big fans of Foods of NY Tours. We took the Chelsea Market tour back in 2011, and the Original Greenwich Village tour in June 2013. This time we decided to take our two teenage children to NYC to start 2014. After hearing our stories about previous food tours, the kids wanted to go with us. We decided on the Central Greenich Village Food and Cultural Tour. Our tour guide was Rahim (uncertain of spelling of his name). He was fantastic! He was the perfect mix of authoritative historian, and fun cool guy. It's hard to impress teenagers, but our kids bought into every minute of the tour. They loved the insight, the stories, the insider knowledge and jokes that Rahim shared...and the food. We had a snow storm the following day, and instead of going out for dinner the kids begged us for takeout from Masala Times (Indian Street Food), which was their favourite. We would all highly recommend taking a tour with Foods of NY Tours. Their tour guides make the difference, and we will be back again in the next year or so to take another one. Keep up the great work. Peter, Cyndi, Mackenzie and Gabrielle (Ottawa, Canada)

Great tour...enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Indian food was a hit for us. Loved the history about the area, especially what was going on in the 60's!!!

This was our second tour taken having previously gone on the Original Greenwich Village tour with this company. Our guide Susan was fabulous! She was so genuine and really had a love for the area. The fact that she lived most of her life in this area and was able to give all these little insights into the neighborhood was great. The detailed history of the neighborhood, where Bob Dylan had lived and Billy Joel's Sullivan Street song reference, in addition to the architecture of the community made the tour interesting. The food stops were diverse and very tasty. Caffe Dante, Monte's, Cuba and Once Upon A Tart were my favorites. You definitely get more than enough to eat and I would suggest not having a big breakfast in advance of the tour. Susan did such a great job on our tour, that four days later, we were back exploring more of the neighborhood on our own and ran into her leading another tour.

Excellent tour guide (Susan) and fantastically knowledgeable about the food and the area - especially considering the seriously cold weather. The variation of the food sampled was excellent particularly the Pasta in Monte's!!

We had a great time with Susan and our group. The tour was fun and very informative. The food was excellent and the tour well planned. My wife and I enjoyed it and will recommend it. When we are back to NYC we will definitely take another tour.

When you're done, you'll feel very comfortable in the village. We'll be back to check out some of the other businesses too.

We were a group of 10 friends of our 1st food tour of NYC and we all enjoyed it very much. Our guide 'Barri' has excellent local knowledge and the food we tasted was very good, except maybe the Cuban cuisine which we didn't much care for. I would suggest changing that stop for a different restaurant. If we visited NYC again we would definitely do another food tour with the same company.

A terrific tour delivered with energy and enthusiasm by our guide Susan. A good range of tastings and certainly plenty of food. This was a wonderful way of exploring the village, its history and culture and of course diversity of eating places and I heartily recommend it to others - with one word of warning - go easy on the breakfast!

Diane was a delight. Entertaining and witty, and very knowledgeable about the area. Weather was on the cold side, but frequent stops helped. Vendors visited were quite varied and their foods were good. We enjoyed the exposure to Greenwich Village.
