Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Lovely restaurants with nice sampling of foods. We were surprised by the nice portion size. Well worth the price.

What a way to end our 7 day NY adventure...too bad we did not do this at the beginning in order to return to some of the venues. We are still talking about our experience! Our guide was enthusiastic, informative, and accommodating:) His expertise of the area was outstanding. We highly recommend this walking and tasting tour to anyone who enjoys history, culture and delicious food. Our only regret was we had time to attend only one of the many foods tours offered.

This is the 5th Foods on NY Tour that I have done over about a 10 year time period and as usual it did not dissappoint. Our guide Susan was very informative and made the tour a lot of fun. The quality of the food is excellent and it is fun to visit establishments that are "NY institutions". I would recommend it to anyone visiting NY!

We had a great time and WOW!! the food was fantastic. We have been on other tasting tours and have had small portions, not on this tour. Come hungry! From the name of the tour we thought we would be in SOHO as well as the Village and learn about it's history...we didn't. I like more facts. Too much standing in one spot. Loved that we actually went into 2 restaurants and were served. Baby, It's cold out there.

I had previously taken the original Greenwich Village tour and last year took the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking tour. Like the others, this was an enjoyable 3 hour foodie romp that mixed in some history of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed by our entire party.

So happy we went on the tour. Gave us an opportunity to see another part of NYC and it was everything it was advertised to be. Susan was a great guide, very informed, friendly, enthusiastic...great ambassator for the village. I made the mistake of eating breakfast, the tastes were generous and delicious, wonderful selection and variety. I had never tasted Indian cuisine, a treat. The stop and Montes and the Cuba were my favorite...but it would be really hard to say, all was so tasty. Loved the history shared.

Experience culture and history through great food!

This was my second time going on this particular tour, and though some prior favorites weren't on the tour due to the location being far and the weather too cold, the winter replacements were certainliy as astonishing if not moreso! The tourguides are incredibly knowledgeable and know the people of the village and those feeding us the wonderful food. It's an experience not to be missed if you are not from around here as well as those who live right next door!

Not only were we able to sample some of the best foods in the area, we learned a great deal of history about the locations we stopped at to observe, those were we stopped to taste, and even those that we passed by!
