| Initially, I must report that our tour guide was most helpful, pleasant and informative, however, the tour itself was not what my family and I had anticipated. Our first two stops at the Indian and Italian places were absolutely fantastic! Good background and information on both places. Unfortunately, things began to go downhill from here. Our tour turned into much more of a tour centering on the landmarks and history of the area. We have taken food tours elsewhere, and concentration on the food and restaurants of the area is what we expected. The information the guide provided was informative, but we were expecting to learn more about the area's food offerings rather than its culture. The food we received was, for the most part, quite good, varied, and plentiful, but we felt we left the area with little additional knowledge of the culinary offerings of the neighborhoods. |

| I took the Greenwich Village tour and loved it, the neighborhood and all the food samples. I could not wait to do this tour and discover a new area. The guide was a female, whose name I cant remember. She spoke very softly for a city that is very loud. Still she knew the area very well. The samples were not as good as the other tour. First we got half an Indian type of potatoe burrito from Indian Bread co which was yummy. Next a sit down tasting of gnocci at Monte's which was great. Then we tried some tiny piece of sweet thing that was the size of your fingernail. After that we went an hour without any food, and we had come hungry as this would be our lunch for $47 a person. Finally we got a 1/4 of a peanut butter sandwich with sliced chicken, and a shot glass size of rootbeer, and shared a child size bag of chips between 6 people... and 4 carrot mini sticks shared. I would go back to PB Co. Then some smoked mozarella slice and a slice of sausage from Joe's Dairy and Pino's meat market, which were not out of the ordinary. Last was granddaisy which was a potatoe bread which was awesome, but we alread had started with Potatoe roll at the Indian bread, and potatoe gnocci. The guide was a little rude to us because we had an infant who was cooing and babbling so she asked us to stay behind the rest of the group, but everyone there told us the baby did not bother them. That aside, I still thought the whole experience on the original tour was so much better planned out, and a nicer neighborhood. I took my family to this one, but wish I had gone back to the original. I would not recommend this particular tour for the price, we could have had a great lunch. |

| This tour was one of the highlights of our week-long visit to NYC. Our guide Rahim was very personable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic (with that NYC edge of course) This was the 3rd tour we have taken with Foods of New York over 2 visits and we found Rahim to be the best guide so far (although Kurt on the Chelsea Market tour was pretty good too) As far as the food was concerned we especially liked the food from Peanut Butter & Co., Pino's Meats and Grandaisy |

| Really enjoyed the Central Village/SoHo Culture and Food Tour. The guide Rahim (sp?) did a fantastic job. He really knew his stuff and it was great to hear about places that weren't necessarily a part of the tour. Would recommend this even for New Yorkers who still haven't toured much of the city. The guide the group rec'd was a bonus so that we could remember all the places of interest and already have a 'must see/should visit list'. Thanks for that.
Recommendation for those who wish to take this tour: If there is a certain type of food you don't care for, you should mention it when you sign up. Yes, you need to be open to new foods but you certainly don't want to have to miss out on several tastings if you don't like a particular food and maybe they can have an alternative. For example, don't have a peanut allergy I just don't care for the taste of nuts. So I chose to miss out on two of the tastings b/c of it but perhaps if I would have mentioned it when I bought the ticket there could have been an alternative. But this in no way took anything from the tour...again it was great. |

| Our guide, Raheen (sp?) was extremely knowlegeable about the neighborhood and the food. The best way to be introduced to an area. We learned so much more than about restaurants and food--history, culture, people. Be prepared to do a bit of walking, a good 3 hours plus. We went back to at least 3 places we visited. |

| This walking tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. The tour guide was friendly, fun, and informative, the food was phenomenal, filling, and interesting, and the sights provided an insiders view of the village. In addition to the tour, we were given many recommendations of great restaurants to try and night spots to visit, so this is a great tour for the beginning of a New York vacation. Our friends who had visited New York dozens of times enjoyed the tour as much as the first timers. |

| The tour guide was great and the food was even better. It's worth while to go on these tours because you get to know more of the area than just going through it yourself. It's a three hours well spent. I think it's even better than the more touristy places like times square. There were a lot of family owned restaurants that serve a lot of good quality food. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to eat and who loves to explore new places. |

| My friend and I really enjoyed the tour - we will be back with husbands next time - and a cooler so that we can shop at all the great places on the tour! The foods were outrageous: the yogurt was out of this world, the halvah (my favorite when I was younger) was unbelievable, the gnocchi was absolutely wonderful, the peanut butter sandwich with chicken and pineapple was fantastic, the smoked mozzarella, the black pepper sausage, the potato tart, the indian bread, etc., etc., etc!!! There was not one food that we didn't enjoy! We could not have asked for a better guide either - Raheem really knows his stuff. Very personable - I hope to have him as our guide again next time. |
