Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

The history/facts aspect of the tour was beneficial and interesting. For a foodie, I was rather disappointed with the food diversity. I expected more variety per sitting. |

A lot more fun and entertaining than going out to lunch! We had plenty to eat, learned a lot, and picked up ideas for places to return to sometime.
Thank you. We had a great time. |

Our guide Diana was informative and well versed in her subject. The food was varied and very good. The weather left a lot to be desired as it was extremely cold and icy. Diana did everything in her power to keep us warm and entertained. Will do this tour again on a nice spring day. this was one of my daughter's Christmas presents and she enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you. |

A snowy winter day in mid December was the perfect setting for a picturesque visit to Central Village and the cultural food tour. Our guide for the day was jovial (Susan) and kept the tour lively and informative throughout the blizzard, having already been on the Greenwich Village Food Tour (Which again would highly recommend) we found this tour as interesting with another great selection of shops to visit and also hear about the history of the Central village & Soho along the way. Top Tastes ... of which all delicious.
The tour managed to find a great mix of foods from all cultures covering Italian, Cuban, French to name a few..Starters of a warm bowl of hearty Italian soup exceptional Enpinadas and a strong cuban to accompany, the freshest Mozarella cheese & pepper salami.. with a finalie of Chocolate and Walnut tart to die for! .. This just names a few of the places to savour.. and many other places to visit and smell the aromas and atmosphere of the village. Along the way many a tale was told and places to visit including the world famous Cafe Wah, stepping back in time to the 1960's... the strip of bars and comedy stores to visit later in the evening when the place comes alive..Should you have a half day spare in the city this is a MUST DO! Really worth the money. (P.S.. No need for lunch!). |

Our tour guide, Raheem, was awesome! He knew SO much about the area and had the greatest personality. I got the best pictures, met the nicest people, and ate the most amazing food. I even took notes so I could remember all the stories about the locations and will be ordering food over the net from some of the stops! If (when) I return to NYC, I will definitely go revisit many of the places we went. In addition, I will definitely sign up for your other tours! |

We enjoyed a small tour of 6 people on a freezing Dec day. The guide was friendly & informative and we visited two of the sites on our own over the following days. We had dinner at the Ethiopian restaurant & a falafel for lunch from MacDougall St. We had previously walked by these venues without realising how good they were. We would highly recommend the tour. Was a nice tour, great variety, good bits of history from the guide. Loved the meeting place (great bartender). Would recommend shortening the tour by 30 mins to an hour. The only criticism I have was the one stop included a long visit to one restaurant but no food was available to try; it was a beautiful establishment and the description of the food was fabulous, then quite a let down when we could not sample. |

Our guide, Raheem (sp?) was articulate, knowledgeable and passionate about the foods, business owners, and stories behind the sites we visited. Very interesting, and generous sampling of a number of foods. Ample opportunites to sit, and visit rest rooms; very comfortable 3 hours. Would recommend this to anyone! |
