Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

I found the tour to be comprehensive, and Susan, our guide, was very knowledgeable and able to provide answers to questions on all aspects of the tour. It's hard to believe that so much information can be garnered within a relatively small area over a three-hour period. |

We had 5 people in our part of the group, from 22 to 58. We all thought it was informative and enjoyable. Our guide had a passion for that area of NY and for the food. Good variety of tasty food. I have a big appetite and wasn't stuffed, but I was satisfied with the amount of food and it was stretched out over 3 hours. |

This food tour was a blast and a great value.. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was so good and the venues were diverse. There is a lot of food and you won't go hungry. Our guide even handled an unhappy neighbor with professionalism. I recommend that anyone with an interest in learning about NYC neighborhoods and other cuisines sign up for this tour. |

Guide appeared to be unwelcome at at least one establishment, food of average quality at best. Left tour after 90 minutes, most of which was spent standing outside establishments eating food out of wrappers or listening to anecdotal stories. Definitely not something that would appeal to "foodies'. Need to either establish relationships with restaurants who welcome visitors and provide a variety of culinary treats or rename the tour to something closer to what it was - anecdotal history of the area with fast food on the side |

Nice walk around New York, we saw a lot of interesting places, that said - being from Europe, I'm not that interested in seeing the most authentic Italian restaurant in New York - I would rather see the most authentic American restaurant ;-) |

We (two couples) enjoyed this tastey, good-natured, info-packed walking food tour so much we'll look for this activity anywhere else we travel. Our guide was so in touch with the people, the history, the food and the facinating cultural histories of the neighbourhoods we toured that we were blown away. We have an understanding of New York now that we couldn't have found in any better way. We now consider ourselves Canadian-New Yorkers. Each tasting was delicious and our guide was so into describing the ingredients and preparation of each bit that our mouths watered. We'd do it again in a New York minute! |

This was my third food tour with FoodsOfNY purchased through ZERVE. It was easy to setup the tour but not as easy to find the group meetup in New York City, since it actually was inside the restaurant instead of outside on the street - outside is better in my opinion. Everyone can see the group from a distance, for one thing. Secondly, we were dodging the wait staff inside. And finally, that restaurant was NOT on our tour, which I found pointless and distracting.
The tour however was very good and everyone in our extended family enjoyed it. We ate significantly more food on this tour than the previous two, which was very nice, considering it is billed as a food tour.
I will likely take future tours with FoodsOfNY. This remains an excellent way to spend 3+ hours walking around New York City, and everyone else in the group seems to have felt the same way, judging by the number of tips we gave our tour guide at the end. |

Foods of New York is an interesting name for this tour. Upon reflection on the tour I would say that;
1) I definitely ate well
2) I learnt a heck of alot about New York's history, character and hidden gems
3) I was really impressed by the tour and especially our guide Diana who was knowledgable, friendly and helped make the tour a highlight of our trip. |

We have taken 2 other tours with your group and found this one to present better and more diverse food offerings and an enthusiastic and well informed guide. Despite rain, we had a terrific time. |
