Well, the fun began before the tour even began when the owner of the Cafe came out and informed us it was easier/warmer to sit inside his place then stand outside on the sidewalk.! From then on, it was walking, eating, talking, eating, learning, eating, laughing, eating! And then we ate some more. Certain things I NEVER thought I would like I LOVED, certain foods I had heard about or seen but never had the opportunity to try rocked my world!
We even had a lady in line at the pasta store complain we were cutting in line, (we weren't) , and then STOP and listen to everything our guide said, HOLDING UP THE LINE! You should have charged her admisson.
GREAT way to spend the day. Now i am off to the gym............. |

The weather wasn't kind, so the bits on the street weren't as good as they would be if it were warmer, but that's not your fault. We heard a huge amount about New York food we would never know without going on the tour, and we tasted amazing things. I wanted to go back to them all. Don't miss the (optional extra) mojitos. We did go back for another one of those!
I booked a food tour, but also got a lot of information about the Village, its history and buildings, and our guide, Raheem, really knew his stuff.
I'm coming back to do the Chinatown tour. |

Susan was very informative and took the time to explain the rationale for the selection of the locations. |

Excellent tour guide , lots of history and passion for new York , not so enthusiastically received by business proprietors . Learnt a lot about New York , little about food . Must be a very difficult one to please all .
Most of the food stuff you get from the food channel or shows . Over all worthwhile . |

- a very professional guide with a pleasant voice and personality!
- good restaurant guiding (we came back!)
- a good variety of restaurants and shops to show the feeling of the area
- a lot of new knowledge for us - just the way we wanted it! |

This was our second tour with NY Food Tours and this time we took the family from 11 year old nephew to 82 year old mother. Everyone had a good time and thought that it was a good value. Our tour guide, Susan(we had her last time too), obviously loves the Village and her job and it shows. |

Was very good, the guide was definitely knowledgeable about the area. Learned things I never would have known, and I lived in NYC my whole life. I would have liked it if, once the guide found out the group was locals (plus two canadians I believe), she turned off the "tourist" schtick, as being from NYC it's a fair assumption we already knew Macdcougal partied until 5am, Little Italy was touristy, etc. But otherwise, she was great, very accommodating & friendly. The tour lasted a good amount of time as well. |

This is the 2nd time we have taking a tour with you. Three years ago my wife, daughter and I took the original Greenwich village tour and loved it. This trip there was a group of 14 of us visiting New york. This walking tour was on the top of the list for all of! |

It's always fun learning more about the city in which I live, and this was a great way to do it. I initially signed up b/c I did a food tour in Chicago and expected NY to offer the same, and I wasn't disappointed. My girlfriend and I had a terrific time and our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It would be interesting to learn a little bit more about the architecture and history of the buildings in the area, but a minor complaint. We can't wait to take another tour soon and continue exploring our great city.
It would be awesome if you could add an East Village tour to the list of offerings. There are so many cool places in the area and this kind of tour would be right up your alley.
See you soon!
