Great food and location

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour. The food was excellent and we had more than enough to fill us up. We also had a terrific tour guide who really knew his stuff about both the food and history of the Central Village and SoHo areas. He was funny, personable and very informative. Both my wife and I would go on another food tour, especially if we had another top notch tour guide.

Our Second Foods of NY Tour

Even though I've lived in the New York area all of my life, I never seem to run out of fun things to do in Manhattan. And a Foods of NY tour is certainly one of them. My family took the West Village tour a few years ago and it was fabulous. So when my wife and I decided to take a mini vacation in the city last week, we included another F.O.N.Y tour. It was terrific, just as before. The food tasting stops were great and very diverse. Our tour guide, Rashid, was excellent. He enthusiastically explained the colorful history of the area and of the various locations we visited. His fabulous sense of humor became especially apparent as he told numerous anecdotes about the famous (and infamous) people who've lived in Greenwich Village over the years. I would highly recommend this tour to both visitor and native New Yorker alike.

Interesting tour combining food (lots of it--ok to skip breakfast to get ready), architecture, history and local color. Well planned, and very good guide (Raheem.) Also good range of food--Italian, Cuban, Indian, desserts. Highly recommended. Have taken other food tours--this is easily the best.

Our guide, Raheem, was excellent. Fun, funny and knowledgeable. He kept us in the shade as much as possible since it was 90 degrees. Food was fantastic.

This is a great way to get a feel for NYC without the hustle and bustle of the major tourist attractions. Nice variety & quantity of foods & flavors. Plenty of historical & cultural anecdotes - not everything was about food. Unfortunately was sweltering that day, but that's just August in NYC I suppose.

Susan took us on a lovely historical and culinary tour of Greenwich Village. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and the 3 hours seemed to go by very quickly. The foods ranged from ethnic street type to Italian, Cuban and fresh fruit drinks with a few more in the mix. Such a great sampling of the vitality of this neighborhood. We loved it.

Excellent second time out with Food Tours

This was our second tour. We did the Greenwich Village tour last summer. Enjoyed this tour even more than the first. Quantity and variety of food was good and interesting. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We took the tour with an adult son and I probably would not recommend for small children. Other than that, a fine way to see the village.

WOW! This is worth doing. My wife and I had our 11 year old daughter with us, and we enjoyed every minute of this tour. We were running late, and the owner waited for us and took us to meet the group. Susan, our guide, was so sweet and saved us some food from the first two stops that we missed. This was a great way to see the neighborhoods of New York and to learn about the culture, history and geography of this area, all the while munching on tasty morsels from great places to eat. I plan to return and search out these places, as they are THAT good. We ate empanadas from a Cuban restaurant, pasta bolognese from a traditional Italian restaurant, a chocolate pear tart from a bakery, wonderful treats from an Indian restaurant.... Fresh mozarella from a dairy.... Ahhh, such memories are even still leaving me smiling! This tour even included a lovely stroll through George Washington Park. Do yourself a favor. TAKE THIS TOUR!!!
