Central Village/SoHo Food & Culture Tour

This was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in a beautiful neighborhood rich in culture and diversity. Our guide's knowledge of history and the the current residents was invaluable giving us an inside glimpse of the area. The food was amazing and the package was exceptional value . Cannot wait to do another area of the city with this group !

My friend and i enjoyed this tour alot but would have enjoyed it more on a cooler day. It was very hot and sunny, and we spent alot of the time walking. The venues were wonderful for the most part, and the guide told us about the history and culture of each area we went to.

This will be our third tour with Foods of New York, and as always, it was wonderful. The food was incredible. Go hungry and have a late dinner! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. And the neighborhood -- so nice to see so many places have retained their original charm. A great way to spend an afternoon.

We gave the tour as a gift to our grown children including a spouse and girlfriend. We decided to go with them and had a great time. Diana was our tour guide and she provided great insight into the history, culture and food. It was obvious that the neighborhoods mean very much to her. The food was very good and we had enough to eat so did not need to eat after. Now, we have a list of places that we intend to go back to for entertainment and great dining places. She shared the menu from several of the restuarants so that we could see how resonably priced they are during non-tour times. Overall, great....we will do another tour!!

I received tickets to this from my best friend as a birthday gift. Originally it was supposed to be me and her , but she had a conflicting school trip so I took my mom with me. We arrived early at the meeting point (cafe del mare) and were met by a very nice and enthusiastic guide named Susan. The whole tour was more than I could have ever expected or hoped for. We had three sit down tastings (cuba, bellavitae, monte's) and three on the go tastings (focacceria, once upon a tart, joe's dairy), as well as taking in various sites and learning about the history and culture of the area. The food I was prepared to enjoy, and I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed all the knowledge I absorbed about the history/culture. I took plenty of pics so my friend could feel like she was a part of it, and I am definitely coming back again to do the tour with her. I was so pleased with the tour I actually went back and shopped at three of the stores (raffettos, joes dairy, once upon a tart) before heading back to long island.

I took my boyfriend into the city for his birthday and thought this might be something different to do before going to the theatre in the evening. We both enjoyed it very much. Every place we stopped at had something good for us to try. We were quite full when it was over because the servings were a good size. We learned alot from our tour guide, Raheem and enjoyed his sense of humor. We are looking forward to trying some of the restaurants that we visited. I would recommend this to anyone and I am planning on doing another tour in the future.

I loved loved loved this tour. We did many tours while in NYC and this tour by far was my favorite. Our tour guide was very nice and very knowledgeable about the area. It's a great way to see the city and get some great history. However don't forget the star of the tour, the food. The food was so tasty and we were full by the end of the tour. Well worth the money. I would recommend this to anyone. If you do only one tour in NYC do this. I will for sure be going back to this company when I go back.

Susan was a great tour guide; she gave us lots of information about the Village. The food was way more than we anticipated. Just needed a snack for dinner after that.

The tour guide was very informative about the history of the neighborhood and the places we visited. The food was fantastic!
