Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Our guide, Susan, was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about both food the and history of the area. The food offered was varied, delicious and plentiful. Well worth the money and time. |

What a fantastic way to look around an area by visiting the cuisines that make up the local culture. Our guide was knowledgeable on the area, humorous and generally a great host. Would most definitely go on one of their tours again. |

This tour was much more than expected. I thought it was going to be a simple walking tour that showcased the different tastes around the neighborhood . . . man was I wrong. The food that we tasted was fantastic, but there was so much more to the experience. Susan, our tour guide, did a great job giving out information about the Village and SoHo areas every step of the way. Not only did we visit the restaurants of the tour but we either stop in front of or actually went inside more shops along the way. From a coffee and tea shop to Ethiopian cuisine. Stories about Bob Dillon, Robert Di Nero, the neighborhood and other topics were spun throughout the tour. And the food, AHH, the food. So good we went back to Monte's for dinner. Do not miss this tour! Very educational and delectable, and extremely affordable. |

This tour is great. From the outset the guide's enthusiasm and love of food and the area, shone through. He was highly entertaining, knowledgeable and informative. The food and restaurants, outlets or shops sampled were great. I would definitely recommend this tour, and would certaintly book another with Foods of NYC again next time. From what I heard from my travelling companions this tour is far superior to its leading competitor (Food on Foot Tours). There was only 10 people in our group, whereas Food on Foot Tours had 30 in theirs! Also the cost of the food is included in this tour, but it isn't in the other one. The only extra was the cost of a great Mojito in the Cuban restaurant. Rahim was a great tour guide too, and I guess he probably made the tour for both of us. |

I had previously taken the original Greenwich Village tour and last year took the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking tour. Like the others, this was an enjoyable 3 hour foodie romp that mixed in some history of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed by our entire party. |

The guide Rahim was really good, very approachable and full of information, but had no control over the bitterly cold weather. More time spent indoors in winter would be better. |
