GREAT HALF DAY ADVENTURE

Amazing tour! I'm from Long Island so I've grown up with the city so close to explore but yet have really not taken advantage of it. I had done the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking district tour about 3 years ago. I had wanted to explore the central village as I had only been down there a few times. Not only was the food AMAZING (Masala Times was my first experience having Indian food and it was delicious) Susan, our tour guide, was informative and fun. The drinks at the Jamaican restaurant were incredibly strong but the food was delicious. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone looking to experience some local culture and find restaurants to venture to in the area. I can't wait until the next time I'm in the village because now i know so many places to eat at. GREAT HALF DAY ADVENTURE!

We are four girlfriends from high school who have known each other over 46 years. We did the tour as a unique way to celebrate one of our birthdays. My daughter purchased this tour as a Christmas gift for my husband, so I already had rave reviews about it from them. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, so we thoroughly enjoyed learning all of the historic facts about Greenwich Village. There was a very nice variety and ample quantity of food to taste - we really enjoyed it all. An added treat was the gentleman playing classical music on a baby grand piano in Washington Square; we would have liked more time to listen to more of his playing. You definitely get your money's worth, both in quantity and quality. Everyone had a fabulous day and we will be recommending the Foods of NY tours to our friends and family. Thanks for a great experience.

I spend a lot of time in New York but this tour showed me places and eateries that I did not know about. I thought it was fun and interesting. Food was delicious. Our guide was wonderful and knew so much about NYC culture and history.

Susan was great! She is a real 'pro'--knows the neighborhood, its history and obviously loves what she does. We enjoyed it all--the history, the food and her ability to answer questions. I would definitely recommend this tour!

INteresting overview of the neighbourhood

This tour was a good way to get to know the central village a little - the walk only covers a small area so not too much walking. The guide gave us some interesting facts about the architecture of the area, and introduced us to some great food stops. I had expected to learn a little more about the history of the food of the area (that was perhaps me misinterpreting the description of the walk) but I certainly learned about its general development and the food-stops were fantastic, so I wasn't disappointed. And it was great to have a couple of sit-down spots in the schedule.

We enjoyed a most informative tour with Raheem, who is knowledgable, nurturant, and loves food like we do! The tour is well-organized and fun. It is one of my favorite activities to do as a parent with my grown children. A bonus is that it is equally interesting for tourists and native New Yorkers.

Our guide, Susan, was awesome. She has a great way about her, the perfect tour guide. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the food. It was a great day! And a great date! I am definitely going to do the other tours. It was a great way to learn about a NYC neighborhood and sample delicious food. BTW, I came hungrey and I was full near the end, could not finish the last 2 samples, and I have a big appetite. Awesome!
