Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Had a fantastic time on the West Greenwich/SOHO tour with Rajim. Went on a different tour several years ago and enjoyed it so much that we signed up for this one. Rajim has such a great personality and was so informative. Wow! And a piece of the best cheesecake - ever! I would highly recommend this tour company for those who are visiting New York and even for those who live there as they will learn a lot of history plus they will get to try some great food. Thanks again! |

Raheem, our tour guide, was excellent.
He is knowledgable about food, architecture and history and is very engaging and always looked out for the group's comfort.
We had very good food and learned quite a bit about local history of the neighborhood and enjoyed the food at the restaurants we visited. |

The Soho food and culture tour was without doubt one of the highlights of our trip to New York. Susan, our guide, made the whole experience unforgetable, with a warm and sunny smile that melt the cold and windy weather. Food to taste was plenty and tasty, and all the historical background hints of the area made the tour even more fun; you could pass by many of the places thousand times without noticing those little hidden gems).
Definetely worthy, and actually the only thing to regret is not having done it at the beginning of our trip, so we could have used the tips about wonderful restaurants and clubs in the area. And it is moorish....one will never be enough as one is left wondering what can be awaiting you in the next tour. |

Good Food But Tour Was Too Long and Boring

We really enjoyed each of the food tastings and would consider dining at a couple of the places (especially Monte's) in the future. The guide (Susan), however, talked way too much and did not impart particularly interesting information. We met at 12:30 and did not begin to walk in the direction of our first restaurant stop until 1:00 p.m. After two hours, we had only stopped for three tastings. We have been on other NY Food tours and were very pleased with the guides' knowledge (Michael Karp and Rahim) and the pace of the tour. This one, unfortunately, was disappointingly slow and boring.
It would be extremely helpful if we could know at the time of ticket purchase who our tour guide would be. I would gladly purchase tickets again if Michael or Rahim were the guide but not knowing will give me pause. |

I felt my guide lacked the knowledge of the area and food, as some of my previous guides with NY Food Tours. The guide was not as enthusiastic or as interactive as past guides I have had. The food was excellant, locations were great. Enjoyed more sit down stops as opposed to eating on the go. |

Our family took this tour and all 4 of us enjoyed it immensely. The food was excellent, and allowed us to get a sense of really cool things going on in the Central Village. The tour guide provided a wealth of additional information on the Village, NY in general, and some of the specific spots we were touring.
This was one of the highlights of our week-long vacation in NYC. HIGHLY recommended. |

Our guide, Susan, was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The quality of the tour and foor exceeded our expecations, it was well paced and well informed. Next time we are in New York we intend to take another tour in an adjacent district. |

This tour is the best way to experience the city - walking around, seeing the sites, and listening to interesting stories about the neighborhood and establishments - all while eating great food. Tour guide (Mr. Z) was tops! Can't wait to visit another part of the city with this food tour company. |
