Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Was very good, the guide was definitely knowledgeable about the area. Learned things I never would have known, and I lived in NYC my whole life. I would have liked it if, once the guide found out the group was locals (plus two canadians I believe), she turned off the "tourist" schtick, as being from NYC it's a fair assumption we already knew Macdcougal partied until 5am, Little Italy was touristy, etc. But otherwise, she was great, very accommodating & friendly. The tour lasted a good amount of time as well.

This is the 2nd time we have taking a tour with you. Three years ago my wife, daughter and I took the original Greenwich village tour and loved it. This trip there was a group of 14 of us visiting New york. This walking tour was on the top of the list for all of!

It's always fun learning more about the city in which I live, and this was a great way to do it. I initially signed up b/c I did a food tour in Chicago and expected NY to offer the same, and I wasn't disappointed. My girlfriend and I had a terrific time and our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It would be interesting to learn a little bit more about the architecture and history of the buildings in the area, but a minor complaint. We can't wait to take another tour soon and continue exploring our great city. It would be awesome if you could add an East Village tour to the list of offerings. There are so many cool places in the area and this kind of tour would be right up your alley. See you soon! AJ and Cara

What a fantastic way to look around an area by visiting the cuisines that make up the local culture. Our guide was knowledgeable on the area, humorous and generally a great host. Would most definitely go on one of their tours again.

This tour was much more than expected. I thought it was going to be a simple walking tour that showcased the different tastes around the neighborhood . . . man was I wrong. The food that we tasted was fantastic, but there was so much more to the experience. Susan, our tour guide, did a great job giving out information about the Village and SoHo areas every step of the way. Not only did we visit the restaurants of the tour but we either stop in front of or actually went inside more shops along the way. From a coffee and tea shop to Ethiopian cuisine. Stories about Bob Dillon, Robert Di Nero, the neighborhood and other topics were spun throughout the tour. And the food, AHH, the food. So good we went back to Monte's for dinner. Do not miss this tour! Very educational and delectable, and extremely affordable.

This tour is great. From the outset the guide's enthusiasm and love of food and the area, shone through. He was highly entertaining, knowledgeable and informative. The food and restaurants, outlets or shops sampled were great. I would definitely recommend this tour, and would certaintly book another with Foods of NYC again next time. From what I heard from my travelling companions this tour is far superior to its leading competitor (Food on Foot Tours). There was only 10 people in our group, whereas Food on Foot Tours had 30 in theirs! Also the cost of the food is included in this tour, but it isn't in the other one. The only extra was the cost of a great Mojito in the Cuban restaurant. Rahim was a great tour guide too, and I guess he probably made the tour for both of us.
