Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Our guide, Raheem, had a superb personality and was so informative and fun. The tastings were amazing. The shops and restaurants were a great mix of various ethnic choices. We would highly recommend this tour to people of a variety of ages. Singles, domestic and international tourists and, yes, New Yorkers, would all enjoy. We will definitely pass this info to anyone we know will be in NYC in the future. It is a great value as well. |

As with other two food and culture tours we have taken, the cultural and historic information was priceless. We love New York but learning about the neighborhoods, the people and their culture makes it come alive. If New York can be more lively. Our guide, Rahim, was exceptional. He even new the homeless people on the street. Rahim's enthusiasm for New York and the area in which he lives spilled over to the group. Of course there was the food. The portions were generous and the people who served us were friendly and courteous. The cheescake at Bellavitae was a highlight.
Thank you, Zerve |

Despite awful weather, this was a fantastic tour. The food was wonderful, and Raheem was entertaining and knowledgeable. I'd do another tour in a heartbeat. |

Highly recommended...! Diana, our tour guide, was fun and knowledgable about the area, its history, architecture and stories. Food was fantastic. Learned more in three hours that I would have if I had hung around Greewich Village for three months. |

The tour guide had extensive knowledge of the area and was obviously passionate about the subject. The tour was far better than we could ever have imagined. We would recommend this to anyone and are in fact already doing so for friends travelling to New York over the next few months. |

My first FoNY tour was the Greenwich Village edition at a time when there was only 1 a week. Since these early days I have done the other tours and this one ranks as one of the best due to a good (sit down) location to start with, a good balance of local history and gossip, a great combination of foods / styles. The weather was also great for November which also helps.
I guess the biggest improvement to the format was the number of venues that were ready and waiting for the party - both with the sample dish but also place settings, cutlery, seats, ability to order drinks (beer / cocktails), etc.
The guide was very good, inclusive and attentive - one of the party had their birthday that day and there was a special treat at the Cuban stop for him.
Strongly recommended. |

Our Tour leader was Diana and she was great. She had so much knowledge of the area and really enjoyed sharing it. The food was incredible. I hope all the restraunts know how much we appreciated them! I learned not only about the food and the people who prepared it but also about architecture, chess hustlers, pop culture stars, and so much more. It's just a great way to get to know the city and learn more about my favorite thing, food! I'm very anxious to come back for another tour. I would love to have Diana again, she was so good at what she does, Thanks so much |

My friend and I were very impressed by the quality of this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and presented the tour in an easy-going style. The food choices were also excellent - don't eat beforehand as this is definitely enough food for lunch and plenty to get you through to a later dinner (I would not recommend an early dinner reservation as this tour ends mid afternoon). In fact, consider trying to book one of the restaurants that are visited - we wish we had.
Highly recommended!!! |

This was the second NYC food tour we've taken. The guide, locale and food were great. A NYC history lesson with frequent stops for gormet food samples along the way. We'll be taking another tour on our next visit. |

Scratch this one off of my Bucket List!!! But, I'll be back, this tour and guide exceeded all of my expectations... being a Foodie, CIA '81, I sooo apprieciated Rammie's (sp) excitment for food and the Rest. history... Even though it rainned a little.. it did not dampen the tour.....guy taking pics of peeps with dogs was different... not rec. in NYC, lol..... I've told everyone about this and can't wait to do another!!!!!!!! |
