Insider view of the Village

If you'd like to experience Greenwich Village like a true Village insider, I highly recommend you take this tour. Your guide, Raheem, is very knowledgeable and surprising thin for the amount of great food he has available to him during these tours! We had more than enough to eat and the variety and quality of the food we tasted was really remarkable. It was especially rewarding for those of us on the tour who live in NY, as we can take advantage of these establishments on a regular basis. We even had a few minutes to buy some of the products - I'm really enjoying the "The Heat is On" peanut butter I picked up while on our tour. Additionally, you learn so much about the history of The Village and SoHo and the people that shaped those neighborhoods over the years, the 3 hours fly by. Anyone that enjoys food and loves NY would find this a great experience.

My parents & I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Rashim was fantastic, he is passionate about food and knows the area very well. He combines lots of curious historical facts with interesting restaurants & stores with tastings that range from typical indian street food & a bizarre store dedicated to peanut butter to witnessing the artisanal process of hand making mozarrella cheese & jamaican pasties. At the end of the tour we had tasted about 8 or 9 different things which added up to a very hearty lunch.

What fun, history, culture and food. It does not get better and I look forward to taking more of these. Please have one for each section of the city. It was worth every penny.

Our guide Rahim was a delight, pleasant & very knowledgeable. He had an excellent rapport with all of the group & with all the establishments that we visited. The variety of tastings was excellent spanning a number of different cultures. His knowledge of the areas that we visited was also presented very well. Highly recommend the tour.

Even having to trudge through the slushy snow, it was informative and our guide Rahim ( sorry about the spelling} was so enthusiastic. Had we been in NY longer we would definately have booked one of the other tours, so will recommend your company to any future visitors. Thanks again.

a wonderful introduction to a neighborhood

I brought my 16-year-old niece with me. It was a great introduction to a great neighborhood, a place that is part of my own history, and one that I wanted to share with her. The tour gave more information than I could myself. And she could try foods that she might not try if asked to by Mom and Dad. Rashim was very knowledgable about the area, its features and history; about the restaurants, their strong points and specialties; about the food establishments and how they make their products. I was a little unsure if my niece would enjoy the afternoon, and I'm happy to report that she THOROUGHLY enjoyed herself. As did myself! This is not the first Foods of NY tour I've gone on and it certainly won't be my last.

As cold as it was, the tour guide kept checking if we were too cold and we had most of the tours inside as it got colder into the afternoon. The tour guide knew her stuff about the area and I learnt alot about the area as well as the good places to eat. Very well done!

local new yorker with a new appreciation of NY!

ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND!! Both my roommate and I agreed that this ranks the top when it comes to describing our favorite NY experiences! The tour guide was endlessly knowledgeable and it was a delight to learn so much detail about the neighborhood and culture of this area! Who knew the streets that I walk every day had such a story to them? The food was obviously a treat to be able to try so many varieties of food and feeling welcome in every establishment. My roommate even went out to one of the restaurants that evening and had an amazing time as well! We'll be trying one of the other stops tonight actually! Even the downpour rain didn't sour the experience because you have not really experienced NY until you've been caught in a downpour. Thanks for any amazing experience, I'll be sure to keep food tours of NY in my book as an activity for both locals and tourists alike.
