fun and entertaining afternoon

Our tour guide Rahim (not sure on the spelling) was very entertaining. He definitely made the experience very enjoyable. The history of Central Village/Soho was definitely interesting. Even for a local, there were things I didn't know before I went on the tour. Now, for the food part of the tour. It was amazing. We stopped off at 6-7 different establishments. Each had a history. My group was exceptionally surprised at the portions that were served at each place. We had assumed it would be a tasting at each one. But we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of food we were actually served. We had three sit down meals: Italian, Indian and Carribean. We even ended the tour with dessert from a French bakery. Each one could have been a stand alone meal. It's almost too much food. The size of the group was perfect, about 15. The entire tour was just slightly over 3 hours. It is definitely the right amount of walking and stopping to take in the sights. We even got to relax a bit while walking through Washington Square Park. It was a great experience. I will definitely do another of these walking/food tours. It was well worth the price.

Great experience for myself and two daughters. We enjoyed the architectural and historical aspects as well as culinary adventure. Susan, our guide, was as pleasant as she was knowledgeable. The proprietors, chefs, staff were welcoming and foods were varied and expertly prepared. We lingered in the area visiting St. Anthony of Padua church and shopping in a few of the boutiques. Thank you for a well-organized, delightful tour. The food was exceptional at every stop and the commentary by Susan gave us insight into varied ambiance of the area.

This is the second Food Tour in New York (2 consecutive years) that I have been on and Raheem (sp) was the guide - both the food and our guide were fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about NYC - the history lesson included is exciting, not to mention the delicious food we tasted! He also recommended a dim sum restaurant that is included in another food tour (Chinatown) which we visited during our trip - excellent recommendation! Great job - and will see you next year!

Very enjoyable tour that explores the food of the area mixed in with a lot of history. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgable as a native New Yorker and was open to any and all questions thrown her way. The food was delicious and plenty enough to substitute for lunch. Would definitely recommend this tour and would even take it again in the future.

My friend and I really enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable regarding the sites and we really liked the way the tastings were spread out. We would have preferred to be able to go into all of the restaurants to have the full experience of tasting all of the food on the premises. The historical aspects of the neighborhood was appreciated. It is definitely something we would do again.

Our tour started out with a friendly intro from our guide Susan, Susan was great and clearly enjoys her job. The tour took us to several locations around the village and SOHO area. All of the food stops offered us a wide range of culture tastes from an Italian sandwich to Cuban plantains. We received a lot of information about the history of the area and if I can suggest anything it would be to add a little more about what is happening in the area today. It’s a fascinating part of NYC and has a great history, but the tour takes you to a couple of new eateries and I think it’s important to talk about the present day along with the past. I’m a massive fan of food and would have liked to sample a little more, but due to limited time I can see why you can’t spend too much time in one place. It was also nice to see that Susan stopped a couple of times to say hi to people that had been on the tour previously and were back to enjoy some of the shops and restaurants.

We took the Greenwich Village/Soho Food Tour with guide Susan. She was very informative about the neighborhood and shared a lot of insights. The food venues that we visited were very diverse; many were places we would have passed by without giving them a second glance but were so glad to have found on this tour. We would definitely take another tour with Foods of NY
