Thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

We had a great time - we were 2 sets of parents (60 somethings) with our married children (late twenties) - the six of us loved the tour for so many reasons! The weather did not put a damper on our enthusiasm. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the guide was amazing. We will all go back to the places we visited. Everyone spent time trying to figure our favorite tasting and we all had more than one. This includes my daughter who is a vegetarian and me who doesn't eat pork (I went vegetarian for the day). Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was clear that he loved what he was doing and was most attentive to us. We have all done the Chelsea Market and Village tours and this one is another great one. Thank you!

The tour guide was terrific, impressively knowledgeable about area and especially about the restaurants and food we sampled. Have been on other tours, the food was by far the best on this one, both quality and quantity.

Living in Las Vegas and going to New York for the first time. I looked up things to do when I got there. Found your web site and decided to book your tour. So glad I did. It was wonderful. Our guide was outstanding, and so informatiive. The food, of course was fabulous! It was truly, the highlight of my trip. For any one who loves history and great food. This is definately the tour to take. Only wish I lived closer so I could take advantage of all the other tours.

Hidden Gems

There's so much going on in the Village and SoHo that it's easy to miss many of the smaller things. This tour featured visits to a number of excellent and tiny restaurants with a wide variety of real food. There is also good history and culture delivered by a genuine native New Yorker. I've been toured through the area by a number of amateur locals, and had good times. This was head and shoulders above those, and well worth the money. Next time we head for NYC, we're looking at another Foods of NY tour.

Interesting history of the area...our guide was very informative...the food samples were mostly very satisfying, especially the Cuban restaurant.... A lot of standing for long periods of time, but the weather was pleasant which made the afternoon enjoyable. I would recommend this activity!

History, Exercise and Food - What Could Be Better?

We've been on the East Village Tour and the Meatpacking/Chelsea Tour so we knew we'd enjoy this tour as well and indeed we did! Raheem, our guide, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very attentive to the needs of the group. He gets an A+! A few of the food choices did not live up to the quality of the other tours, specifically the Indian food. The fresh, smoked mozzerella, sun dried tomatoes and Italian sausage were excellent as was the pear tart. Our mouths are still watering! The next time we're in New York City we plan to go on the Chinatown tour. Several of the people on our tour were raving about that one too! I would recommend all the Foods of NY Tours I've been on. You learn interesting historical facts, eat great food and get some exercise to boot. It's a win/win experience!!

A GREAT WAY TO LEARN ABOUT A SECTION OF NEW YORK CITY. I WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SEEING THIS PART OF THE CITY, BUT AFTER TAKING THIS TOUR I WILL RETURN TO EXPLORE FURTHER. I'VE SCHEDULE ANOTHER TOUR FOR MY WIFE AND I IN THE NEAR FUTURE THROUGH THE MEATPACKING DISTRICT.

Our guide 'Racmede' (sorry for spelling) was extreemly knowledgeable regarding the local restaurants and history of the area; very considerate for the group while concerned for the locals, particularly with safety of all. My wife and I would strongly recommend both him and the tour and hope in the future to have him as guide on the 'sushi' tour. Best regards, Mike & Nancy Moore

Gide was very knowledgeable about the SO Ho district and food. Every place we went to taste food the food was excellent, I especially enjoyed the cheesecake, the best I ever had. I would recommend this tour to anybody,
