Interesting history of the area...our guide was very informative...the food samples were mostly very satisfying, especially the Cuban restaurant.... A lot of standing for long periods of time, but the weather was pleasant which made the afternoon enjoyable. I would recommend this activity!

We've been on the East Village Tour and the Meatpacking/Chelsea Tour so we knew we'd enjoy this tour as well and indeed we did! Raheem, our guide, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very attentive to the needs of the group. He gets an A+! A few of the food choices did not live up to the quality of the other tours, specifically the Indian food. The fresh, smoked mozzerella, sun dried tomatoes and Italian sausage were excellent as was the pear tart. Our mouths are still watering! The next time we're in New York City we plan to go on the Chinatown tour. Several of the people on our tour were raving about that one too! I would recommend all the Foods of NY Tours I've been on. You learn interesting historical facts, eat great food and get some exercise to boot. It's a win/win experience!!

A GREAT WAY TO LEARN ABOUT A SECTION OF NEW YORK CITY. I WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SEEING THIS PART OF THE CITY, BUT AFTER TAKING THIS TOUR I WILL RETURN TO EXPLORE FURTHER. I'VE SCHEDULE ANOTHER TOUR FOR MY WIFE AND I IN THE NEAR FUTURE THROUGH THE MEATPACKING DISTRICT.

Our guide 'Racmede' (sorry for spelling) was extreemly knowledgeable regarding the local restaurants and history of the area; very considerate for the group while concerned for the locals, particularly with safety of all. My wife and I would strongly recommend both him and the tour and hope in the future to have him as guide on the 'sushi' tour. Best regards, Mike & Nancy Moore

Our Central Village/ SoHo tour was way better than any food tour I have taken previously (other cities). Not only did we have comprehensive and generous tastings from a variety of excellent ethnic restaurants , we also got historical and architectural insights that enhanced our experience. Our guide was friendly, informative, energetic, and respectful. I heartily recommend this tour.

My husband and I were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and had already done many typical outings; events, dinners, trips etc. I went on the West Village Tour last August and loved it and thought this would really appeal to my husband. He loves history, architecture and food! The tour guide was awesome (Susan)...very knowledgeable and friendly. The size of the group (16) was good...it was easy to hear everything. The food tastings were wonderful and we will go back to several of the restaurants for a meal. All in all, it was a great value. The tastings provide plenty of food and served as a lunch. The amount of walking is just right and the length of the tour is also good. I would recommend this highly to anyone who wants to have a more hands on approach to investigating New York City.

Wonderful tour guide - he tried to keep us as entertained and dry as possible. Our group loved the food, the history of the area, and the whole tour. We'll be back!

Thought it was weak on really exploring the food of the Central Village (only two stops in SoHo). The leader was charming and reasonably well informed, but for us who are not real big music enthusiasts there was much too much discussion of musicians and music venues, more on the literary and visual arts would have been somewhat more satisfying for us. We enjoyed the food samplings, but thought there was a bit too much advertising for those restaurants. I would recommend this tour with reservations. It was strongly recommended to us by friends.
