Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Fabulous food/cultural tour!

What a perfect afternoon we had on our food/cultural tour of the central Village and SoHo! It was everything we'd hoped for and MORE. We learned so much, loved the food, and totally felt like we were seeing the real NYC. Our tourguide, Barri, was excellent - full of info and with a great New York personality! Throughout the tour, and certainly afterwards, my 5 friends and I couldn't quit raving about the tour. We'll all definitely take more tours when we return to New York.

The tour was everything I expected and more! We enjoyed the food, history, originality of the area even in the rain. Rahim was delightful, knowledgable and made us feel like a member of his family. The food stops were superb. Looking forward to another tour with your group.

I've been on several food tours and this was among the best I've been on. The tour guide, Raheem, was animated, fun and knowledgeable... and an experienced foodie as well! The tastings were all great and they accommodated my dietary issues. I usually go on these "with the girls" but I took my husband this weekend and he loved it too!

We really enjoyed our tour and will definitely book another one the next time we visit our daughter in NYC. Our guide was funny and very well informed. The food selection was varied and we had plenty to eat.

Susan was terrific as our tour guide; she was knowledgeable about the neighborhood, funny and so passionate about her job. It was such a pleasure spending the afternoon on her tour. Our group of strangers felt like a little family by the end of our 3 hours together! The food was really amazing ;better than I had hoped it would be. There was a variety of ethnic foods represented and everything was high quality. I am booking the West Village tour today. Can't wait!

Our fearless leader Susan was wonderful. She was knowledgable about the neighborhood and all of its nooks and cranny's. As for food- the mortadela sandwhich was to die for, the indian food (some kind of egg wrap) was super delicious- took me b y surprise. the falafa was mediocre (could be me), The Cuban food was good but it was hotter than hades in there. The yoghurt drink we had was fine but unnecessary, the chocolate and pear tart was to die for and the bolongese at Monty was so-so. It is definately worth $49.00 it gives you a nice lay of the land. Until I got to the tour, I didn't realize the same company had others. It was nice that they didn't have a large group. Sometimes it's not about the food you eat but the wonderful people you encounter along the way~

Lots of fun information and LOTS of food samples

Approximately three hours of strolling, stopping, eating, learning, eating, laughing, meeting fun people and EATING! The food offered from many of the area restaurants was just a sample but put all together made for a very filling meal! It is a great way to learn the area and find great places to come back to dine and/or shop, sometimes just as the tours ends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Susan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable with a very engaging and warm personality. This was my third (different) Foods of New York tour. All were terrific!

Can't say enough positive things about our food tour - our guide Susan was fantastic, food was delicious, the historical information made the tour more relevant and it was lots of fun too! I will definitely come back to New York and do the other tours. I've already recommended this to several of my friends.
