Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

We previously did the Chelsea Market tour and loved it. This was equally enjoyable. Good food, informative guide, and pleasant people. Great way to spend a day in NYC.

The Central Village/Soho Food & culture tour might just be my favorite to date. I've been through 2 other tours from the same company (Foods of NY Tours) & i liked the variety of foods the best on this tour. My group also found all the historical information fascinating! Our tour guide Barri was extremely knowledgeable on all the historical facts surrounding the entire area.

Hot July Summer with Raheem but it was worth it!

This was my first tour and it won't be my last one! Raheem was very informative and, at the same time, humorous, thoughtful, and polite. It was an extremely hot day so Raheem did his best to get us cold water and shade or indoor reprieve from the sun. He was a big reason why we will do this tour again in August with other family members. The food was delicious and the hospitality was genuine. This activity is a perfect way to hang out with your family or friends as long as everyone is mobile. It is primarily a walking tour with a celebration of history and food. There is no better way to understand what a neighborhood has to offer!

We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour. We were glad we were recommended the tour by friends in Aust. Our guide Susan was not only pleasant she was very informative not only about the food but the area we toured. We were treated with decent food and a informative historical prespetive of the of the area we visited. In short it combined the best of two things food and culture in 3 hours.

My three friends and I visited NYC and took this food tour. Diana was our guide and our group had 12 individuals. Diana was very pleasant and provided a great deal of history about the area as well as the food/establishments. The amount of food was just right. It was great to try a variety of foods that we have never eaten before. We tasted Italian, Indian, and Cuban food. Our dessert was a chocolate tart from Once Upon a Tart that was simply amazing! I am glad we did not have the full number of people (16) allowed on a tour. More than 12 would be difficult to manage to me.

We very much enjoyed our walk through Central Village and SoHo. Susan was our guide and the perspective that she brought to the tour as a native was priceless. The food offered was excellent and plentiful. Don't attend this tour and plan on an early dinner- definitely will be too full. Great value for the money.

This tour was so-so at best. Some interesting food, not much on the local history or culture, very little walking and a guide whose enthusiasm for the neighborhood bordered on arrogance made this a blah event. (For our guide, you evidently would be amazed to learn there are ethnic restaurants, spice stores and coffee stores outside NYC!) Can't recommend this one. Just not enough there. The highlight was the mojito at the Cuban restaurant, the name of which escapes me (yep, the tour was that memorable). Spend your valuable time elsewhere.
