Our tour leader, Rahim, was a delight. Very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and animated. His love for food was obvious and he gave us a great historical overview of Soho and the Central Village. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn about New York culture.

The food is generally excellent; the reason you go on a food tour of course. As an added benefit though is the history of the area you get as you walk the area. I personally found that almost better than the food.

| Guide was very enthusiastic and gave great information on the history of the area.
Would have liked to have had better food on the tour and in a different order, third item on tour was a sweet, then afterwards a sandwich, another food item was dessert then followed by pizza. Could also have had more water to drink. |

Our guide, Raheem was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour immensely. My husband, a picky eater, actually tried everything that was presented. We were not hungry at the end of the 3 hours. We recommend this to all.

The culture part of this tour was very informative and entertaining as presented by our enthusiastic guide. While the tasting samples were varied and appealing , the number of delicacies/venues visited was not generous. I took the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour last year and thought it a better value. However, on this tour my guest, who is from from New Zealand, loved every minute!

My husband and I love to take tours like this in cities that we visit for the first time; but living just across the river, we forget that so many wonderful opportunities are available right here in the tri-state area. Being able to visit an area of the city that is not only so rich in history but a celebration for your taste buds was a plus! We love finding eateries and shops that offer authentic dishes and merchandise.

Food and history both first-rate. Almost as much fun as the original tour, which was one of the most enjoyable afternoons we have ever spent. We look forward to more of these walking foodie tours in the future!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and pleasant. We found the history of the area very interesting and our guide added to it by sharing personal stories of her family who had lived in the area. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants and shops who provided tastings and really liked all the foods we tried. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have the time to purchase items at the restaurants and shops we stopped at, such as the peanut butter, homemade pastas, sausage, etc. Because the tour was spread out, retracing our steps to make these purchases afterwards would have been tiring and timely to do. If you could allow for a little extra time for purchases I'm sure it would be beneficial to all --we could take home some new found favorites and the shops would make a few extra sales for the day. We were so impressed with the tasting at Monty's that we returned there a few days later and enjoyed a fantastic dinner! This is our 2nd Foods of New York tour and we're looking forward to doing another on our next trip to NYC.

This was my first visit to Central Village/SoHo and I was impressed with our walking tour guide who highlighted the best of Central Village/SoHo in a short amount of time. The wide variety of food tasting was great and the history behind this small part of Manhattan was very educational. I can't wait to return to the village to try these fabulous restaurants. My only advice is to wear good walking shoes and come hungry.
