Found some interesting restaurants on this tour. Excellent food descriptions. Other info was typical tour book fare. The guide was knowledgeable but did not make the group comfortable. When a member of our group, started to spell his name, she said curtly -"You think I can't spell that name? It is pretty common." She spent a fair amount of time at the beginning describing the tour and lining us up -correcting people as to where they were standing on the street. In that time she never introduced us to each other. THE GROUP NEVER REALLY JELLED. AS THE TIME WENT ON SHE SEEMED MORE RELAXED.
I was on the other FOODS of NEW YORK tour and the guide introduced us to each other and engaged the group in a very relaxed way. He told stories and just made the tour come alive. It was a great tour.
This time the food was good, found some new restaurants but the tour itself was mediocre. |

Our guide was great. He was a foodie and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood. The food was delish. More than enough to eat and a nice variety. All of the restaurant owners and shop keepers were pleasant as well. We went back to one of the restaurants for lunch the following day and it was fabulous. Highly recommended! |

This is the 3rd tour I have been on and I just loved it. I took my 15 year old daughter this time and although she sometimes doesn't eat everything, she tasted and chowed down every sample in total. We both had a blast and will come back next year for the Meatpacking tour. Raheem was fantastic! These tours are awesome. They are so much fun. If you are spending time in NYC, I think you should go on this tour the first day so that you know where to eat while you are here. We went on the last day, and I was so disappointed that I have to wait a whole year to return to the great restaurants that we tasted. |

My wife and daughter and I enjoyed the tour and felt it was best out of the three tours we took, in New York. and would go on this tour again, obviously the food is exceptionally good all homemade in family run restaurants, a must try absolutely delicious. And the history and culture are in that area was very interesting, and surprisingly a lot of the area had a very picturesque character to it. We definitely would like to spend some more time down in the Soho area after taking this tour and also went Soho shopping tour which pointed out all the boutiques and shops for clothes and things in the Soho area there is quite a bit left for us to see possibly on our next trip to New York City. I would totally recommend this tour, our guide was great very knowledgeable on everything from the food the restaurant history of the area and the local perspective of things going on. It's a great way to experience one of the jewels of the city's SoHo area. |

Rahim ( I hope I am spelling his name correctly) was a great tour guide. He loves his job, as his enthusiasm and knowledge flow freely when he talks. He talked of the neighborhoods and specific buildings that we passed, as well as of the restaurants and owners to which we visited. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. It was a fun way to spend 3 hours on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in NYC. We visited places that we may not have passed during our walks around the city and it gave us a better understanding of the Village and SoHo areas. I would recommend this tour to others. |

The Food tour was an informative and entertaining way to become better acquainted with a district of New York that I recall only in the 1960's as the place hippies came from. The culture and history presented during the tour in addition to the food tastings left me with an altogether different impression as a place that is worth returning to--and an appetite for more:) |

My 15-year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed Susan's tour of Central Greenwich Vilage and a small "slice" of Soho Tour. We had taken a food tour of the Lower East Side last summer and had to share very small portions with other members of the group. We were very pleasantly surprised to have very generous size portions of our sample foods on this tour. And, since it was a very warm day, it was nice to sit down in a few of the air conditioned restaurants. I especially liked the cultural and architectural aspects of the tour - Bob Dylan's residences and haunts, Club Wha?, Washington Square Park, etc. I think it would have been interesting to mention some of the Village's famous past and current residents and to include even more mentions of movie locations shot in the Village. The food choices were all very good - a little heavy on the Italian selections - but my daughter loves Italian, so that worked out. We stopped at Peanut Butter and Co. after the tour and thought it would have been a "fun" spot to include. My only complaint would be that at a few of the resturants we felt a bit pressured to return - business cards were passed out -- the stops felt more like advertisements for the establishments rather than simply a food tour stop. We did like the neighborhood guide handout - handy to have for our next visit to the Village and we will be back! Foods of New York Tours - how about a East Village or Lower East Side Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour? |

The central village/soho food tour was just top notch. Our tour guide grew up in the area so she really knew the history and details of the streets. I revisited old haunts of my past. The food was superb. I have a whole new group of restaurants and food stores to try out. It was a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. |

This is our second Greenwich area walking tour. This one was even better than the first. Diana was an excellent guide. I'm sure we will look at other tours in the future. |
