Amazing value for tour and tastings

Come with your appetite! Aside from a meager serving of bolognese sauce at Monte's (opt for the pesto instead), this tour offers exemplary food tasting opportunities and a very cool tour of this NYC neighborhood including a curbside peek at Anna Wintour's townhouse. Our tour guide, Susan, was phenomenal, her energy and enthusiasm for the area and its food highlights did not waiver despite temps in the 90s..

Great Tour - Worth the Money

We enjoyed our guide and the tour was supposed to last 3 hours and it went about 3 1/2 hours. The tour guide was very informative and provided a very pleasent experience. She did not rush us and all of the food we tasted was wonderful. We weren't sure we were going to like the Indian food tasting and we came away really liking it. We live in NJ and had always talked about taking a tour like this - finally did it and we are now looking forward to our next tour.

My husband, son and I tremendiously enjoyed our tour. The food was great, but more importantly, the tour guide was terrific and showed knowledge of the surrounding environment and history. Not only would I recommend it,but look forward to going on it again either with family or friends.

Our daughter has lived in the neighborhood for several years and joined us for the tour. We all enjoyed the tour and all of the food choices. All the food was very good and the samples were not stingy. It was a fun afternoon and time well spent.

Great time - 6 fabulous tastings - my wife and I purposely didn't have much for breakfast and we were full for the rest of the day/evening.

Great village tour!

We loved this tour! The gentleman who gave the tour was very knowledgeable about eateries, neighborhoods, and local history. He had also apparently been a food writer and a good cook himself, and so he enthusiastically shared all kinds of stories about how different foods were prepared. He had a great sense of humor, and kept us laughing, which helped when the hot weather seemed to slow down our spirits. He was also very considerate; given the warm temperatures (near three digits) that day, our guide found ways for us to stand in shade, or stay longer indoors where it was cooler. A lot of people along the way seemed to know him and think the world of him-- and we could see why! This was really an excellent tour. We look forward to returning to the village and exploring in more detail some of the places we saw on this tour. People like our guide make a neighborhood come alive.

Our guide was very informative and remembered everyones name which was nice.. The food was good, but it was very filling with a lot of breads, fried food, and pasta. I would have liked to see a little less with more quality. The best food of the day was the Indian "wrap" with egg. Also the Cuban restaurant was very warm in the back room, and the day wasn't terribly hot. We had a very nice group and overall an enjoyable walk with my family.

We did the tour at the end of our stay in NYC and wished we had done it at the front end so that we could go back and enjoy some of restaurants and shops.

Best Deal in Town

Our guide was Raheem. He's the best. It was a hot day, but he did his best to keep us "cool" and gave the group options for those that were challenged by the heat. This is the best way to get a feel for New York--by walking around and tasting the various foods. Next time I come, I will positively go on another food tour by this group. Thanks!
