Central Village/SoHo Food & Culture Tour

My wife and I view the food tour as one of the top highlights from our New York vacation. We enjoyed walking from place to place and learning about the history of the area. The guide was so friendly and remembered our names from the moment she learned them. The places we visited were great and the food was wonderful! It was a fantastic way to spend our afternoon and I highly recommend it.

This food tour was a lot of fun, it was my first time doing something like this. I've been to nyc before but I never really knew good places to eat and this tour helped. Make sure this is in place of a meal because you will get plenty of food when sampling. My tour guide was very enthusiastic and he enjoyed telling about the food and culture of the area. As a bonus you get coupons to several of the places in the area including places you visit on the tour. This tour does not do chain restaurant, it is purely made up of authentic dining.

Both my wife and I had an amazing time and enjoyed every minute of the tour. Susan was an absolutely wonderful tour guide and made the experience that much more pleasant. It was also fun talking with others on the tour with us who came from other countries. The food was great, exploring the neighborhood was fun and Washington Park was very cool! We would do it again in a heartbeat!

This was the second time taking this tour for me and both times I had Susan as a guide. Her knowledge of the city as well as her presentation of her take on the neighborhood leaves you just wishing the tour would go on all day just so you could listen to her talk for longer. Everyone is made to feel so welcomed and important, not an easy task in a group of 16 people who all have their own ideas, likes, and dislikes about NYC. Additionally, the food on this tour is absolutely excellent. From Indian to Cuban to Italian and more, it's all delicious! I'd say this tour is a must-see if it's your first time in NYC or if you've lived there your whole life!!

It was my first time to NYC, and a friend of mine strongly encouraged me to book a food tasting tour. I am seriously glad that I did! Not only did we have some truly fantastic food, the tour group was small (less than 15 people), the tour guide, Susan Volchock, was fantastic, and I was introduced to a truly charming part of Manhattan in Central Village and SoHo, which I probably wouldn't have even ventured to if it weren't for the tour. Don't be worried that you won't get enough food. I found myself turning down leftovers, and I have a phobia of not getting enough food in restaurants. Plus, the tour was far more than just food tasting. Susan gave us a tour of the area that included quaint streets, cultural stops, pop culture references, amazing architecture, and a great walk through Washington Square Park. Did I mention that the food is fantastic? I can't wait to go back and take my wife with me to eat in some of the many restaurants in the area AND take another food tasting tour of a new part of the city. The Food is great of course, you won't be hungry, but what suprised me the most was how much I enjoyed the sight seeing (usually not my thing). Very cool area and the guide did a great job of blending it all.

We strongly recommend the food tour. It is a great way to experience the local flavor of New York neighborhoods in a short amount of time. Our guide Susan was very knowledgeable about the area and restaurants we visited. The pace was perfect with a mix of quick street fare and sit down dining. We will definitely try another tour the next time we are in New York.

All the food was great. Gives you the best opportunity for local cuisine to revisit for a full meal.

Susan our tour guide was very knowogable with not only the food but the whole neighborhood pointing out everything from different architecture and history to how the people and the food evolved over the years. The tastings were many and the food was plentiful so come ready to try different things and have a open mind and a love for food. Would highly suggest this for anyone who would like to know more of the food culture in NYC. Looking forward to taking another tour with this company!
