Central Village/SoHo Food & Culture Tour

Susan our guide was very open and friendly. Restaurants chosen were fantastic. Loved when we were able to meet the owners...adds that personal touch. Would recommend that a person from the estanblishment tell a little about the restuarant when possible. Thank you.

Susan was our tour guide and she did an amazing job!!! We learned SO much about parts of Greenwich village and SoHo. The food was delicious and we were well fed. My favorite places were the Indian Restaurant and the Cuban restaurant. Their food packed a punch! However the others were very good too. We enjoyed the whole tour immensely and HIGHLY recommend it!! We only wish we had given Susan a much bigger tip. She deserved it.

Our guide was Susan and she was fantastic. She had so much knowledge about the Village and about New York in general and really made you feel welcome and comfortable. I liked that in addition to the scheduled food stops we also ducked into stores that were recommended. It was like grazing and shopping all day with a friend.

The food tour was one of the highlights of my New York City visit. Susan was a wonderful guide: warm, funny, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her city. We visited more restaurants and shops than I expected, had delicious samples at each, and got a good overview of the neighborhood. It was a cold day, but we had plenty of chances to warm up as we popped into various establishments. I hope to visit New York City again, and would certainly take another Foods of New York tour.

We had a great time. Our daughter gave us this great afternoon as a X-mas gift. It is a super idea because we spent time with her, and we met new, nice people, including Susan, our guide. The food samplings were delicious. We loved hearing some of the history of the area too. We are definitely going to bring friends to NYC to sample these yummy restaurants and we will also try a different tour sometime in the future. Thanks, Susan for making our day special too.

It was my first time to NYC, and a friend of mine strongly encouraged me to book a food tasting tour. I am seriously glad that I did! Not only did we have some truly fantastic food, the tour group was small (less than 15 people), the tour guide, Susan Volchock, was fantastic, and I was introduced to a truly charming part of Manhattan in Central Village and SoHo, which I probably wouldn't have even ventured to if it weren't for the tour. Don't be worried that you won't get enough food. I found myself turning down leftovers, and I have a phobia of not getting enough food in restaurants. Plus, the tour was far more than just food tasting. Susan gave us a tour of the area that included quaint streets, cultural stops, pop culture references, amazing architecture, and a great walk through Washington Square Park. Did I mention that the food is fantastic? I can't wait to go back and take my wife with me to eat in some of the many restaurants in the area AND take another food tasting tour of a new part of the city. Thanks for a great experience and value! I would highly recommend this tour, and encourage you to book it in advance.

I was extremely pleased with our tour of the village/soho. I was very impressed with the places our guide brought us to eat. They don't just pick random places, they take you to hidden gems that have a story to tell, some around 100 years old. The portions of food were much larger than I expeced, I was pretty stuffed by the end. The part I liked most was learning the history/culture about everywhere we walked. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew a ton about the area. She was very interesting and knew a lot of fun facts. Highly recommend!!

The Food is great of course, you won't be hungry, but what suprised me the most was how much I enjoyed the sight seeing (usually not my thing). Very cool area and the guide did a great job of blending it all.

What a wonderful tour! Susan is a spectacular and knowledgable guide. It is obvious that she loves her city and its many offerings! The food was superb. We especially enjoyed the selections at Cuba and Masala Times. The visits to the coffee and pasta shops were an unexpected bonus. Even though we were walking the tour in near freezing temps, it was well worth it to enjoy not only the food but the neighborhoods and history as well. We plan to do the Chelsea Market tour on our next trip!
