The best activity I have ever done in NYC!

My husband and I were told by a friend to try a food tour on our day trip to NYC. Every time we have been to the city before, we just shopped and hung out. We just cannot stop talking about our experience on this tour and our tour guide, Susan, is absolutely wonderful. She told us so much interesting history about Central Village/SOHO. The food was outstanding and we were very impressed with everything. We cannot wait to come back again and try another area food tour! We just hope that all of your tour guides are as great as Susan. Thanks for a great 3 hours!

I enjoyed this tour with a small group of friends on a weekend trip...I can't think of a better way to spend several hours. The tour was informally informative, flexible with the needs of the group, and quite delicious. I enjoyed the diversity of the restaurants visited, and loved all the food. Came away quite full! Loved the guide too. A perfect day.

Really enjoyed the variety of places we went. The food was great. The guide, Susan, was very infomative and a pleasure to listen to. This is one of the best food tours I've ever taken. Plenty of food. Actually a bit too much, I was stuffed!

Our group was very impressed with the tour, the guide and the food. We ended up going back to Bellavitae for dinner that night. I had the pork chop, some had the young chicken that was talked about during our tour stop. We are already planning which tour to take next time we are in the city.

The guide was excellent...took care of everybody, gave interesting commentaries delivered with a clear, resonant voice. He appeared to have a genuine interest in his work and in the area and places we toured. There was a good balance between the food and culture aspects of the tour. The food was interesting. Next time I'm in NYC I would go back on my own to visit the food places we toured.

This is my third experience with Foods of New York, and they haven't failed me yet. And I don't believe they ever will. Instructions to the meeting place were accurate. The guide was on time and easy to identify. The food tastings were varied and interesting. And the guide was knowledgeable and fun ... a personality. The time flew by, and I enjoyed every facet of the few hours.

Fantastic Time!

The tour was great. Our guide not only knew the history of the area and the restaurants, but she was a local who had her own history in the neighborhood and was able to share great insights about the establishments we visited. She made sure everyone was able to enjoy the tour regardless of age or mobility level. Of course the food was fantastic, and while sufficient from a quantity standpoint, left us wanting more from a taste standpoint! My wife and I plan to try another tour the next time we are in NYC. If you are looking for a unique way to explore the city, there isn't a tastier way to do it. Cheers! JP & Julia

A 'Must Do' for tourist and local alike!

Visiting NYC for the weekend from Boston, my husband and I wanted to do this tour - to get a sense of the history, culture, and architecture of Greenwich Village. This was one fabulous tour and absolutley surpassed our expectations!! Our guide, Suzie, knew her stuff - both in terms of the local merchants, local history, and the 'Who's Who' of some of the precious gems of the Village and she is an excellent storyteller. But above all - the food stops - restaurants and deli's were outstanding!! It is essential to be hungry when you start this tour because in the course of the stops - you certainly eat more food than one would in an average meal. In fact - even though we wanted to have dinner at one of the restaurants Sat night - - we did not even eat dinner that evening! But on Sunday - we knew right where we wanted to go. I am sharing these discoveries with only my closest friends. We purchased one sausage at the meat market we had visited and most certainly should have purchased more! This tour is fun, informative, a great value - and absolutley delicious!!! A gem in itself~ THE perfect way to spend 3 hours on a saturday. Highly recommended! Thank you!!

Another Hit!

This was my third food tour. Having thoroughly enjoyed the West End of the Village tour and the Chelsea Market tour, I was confident that this tour would follow suit. I think this might even be my favorite food tour. Susan was our tour guide and my favorite of the three guides. As the Chinese and Japanese tours don't interest me, I saddened that there aren't more for me. If you expand, I'd be interested. You succeed in welcoming a stranger into the intimacies of a neighborhood. I have returned many times to these neighborhoods and have introduced other friends to the wonderful eateries, shops and bits of history that you introduced me to. As I know many people who don't often venture to NYC because it seems an overwhelmning experience to them, I recommend your food tours.
