We had a stand-up comedian for a tour-guide so he really made the whole experience a joyous laugh the entire way. We ate our way through delish food, the walking was kept at a moderate level (much appreciated on a supremely hot day), and learned a lot about the local neighborhood. A great way to combine humor, food, history, and even a little bit of exercise - highly recommend! |

First, we arrived early and met our tour guide Bert. He kindly greeted us and gave us the tour booklet as well as some water. Bert was fantastic from first introductions. His down to earth manner and knowledgeable and humorous approach made us feel welcome and at ease. We began the tour with a brief description of what to expect and we were invited to be casual and to ask questions as well. We went to many fine establishments to sample pizza, olive oil, meats, cheeses, and much more. All along the tour we would stop and look at this building or that street and learn something new and fascinating about Greenwich Village and New York City. I would encourage everyone to take this tour. Well done! |

Food and local tour of Greenwich - great combo!

We enjoyed learning more about Greenwich Village and snacking our way through it. Definitely look forward to returning and booking a table at one of the local restaurants. Also learned more about olive oil and pizza styles than I would have thought possible! Although we didn't cover a lot of distance, we were on our feet quite a bit. Keep that in mind if you have any issues with standing or walking for long periods of time. There are a few places to rest along the way and we should have asked the guide beforehand to let us know where to meet up if we needed a break. Be sure to bring your appetite! |

My daughter had recommended the food tour to us; she and her husband had taken the tour last year and enjoyed the experience very much. My husband and I can't say enough good things about our experience. Our tour guide, Heather, was the best. She was very knowledgable about the restaurants and the area in general, and we both learned a lot about Greenwich Village. The food we sampled was amazng and we will definitely come back to the area the next time we're in New York. |

My mother and I joined the West Village food tour put on by Foods of NY Tours. I'm a local to the W Village and can testify that most if not all of the restaurants we sampled from were great representations of the neighborhood culture. Our tour guide walked us around the neighborhood and talked about the culture, music, theater, architecture, urban legends and, of course, culinary history. Highly recommend this tour, and can't wait to try Foods of NY's other tours, especially Chinatown and Chelsea Market. |

Hi, just did the Greenwich tour and loved it! Kurt was fantastic and acknowledged everyone in group by name. We have done other walking tours but his was by far the best experience. Our children aged 11 and 12 loved it and could not say enough about food and Kurt. Specially the O Ke DoKe Artichoke! Great way to experience alittle NY. |
