I had so much fun on this walking tour through Greenwich Village. It gave me the opportunity to see how New Yorkers live and eat...plus, we saw some of the sites of NYC. Our guide, Ed, was excellent. He was so much fun and so informative. The foods we sampled along the way were delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone, whether they be from out of town, or those locals that have never walked through the Village.

The tour guide was really entertaining and knew plenty about the area and history. He also managed to learn the whole group's names within minutes! I really wish I'd done the tour at the beginning of my stay in New York as it would have been great to try some of ther places we visited for a full meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village tour and thought it was more fun than the advertising led us to expect. The guide was excellent, and we learned a lot.

Our tour guide was good. Very personable and had a few good stories that helped it remain interesting. The food samples were average and really not that interesting-except, perhaps, the true NY pizza mini-slice that was thin and crisp. Plus the tour didn't contain enough actual cultural or historical information to make up for the low-end food samples. I felt that we paid $50 each for free samples at Costco. I love historical walking tours that I've taken in London, Montreal, Santa Fe, and Quebec City. I hoped that the added food focus would be more exciting since we are interested in food. Sorry, can't recommend this to my friends.

This tour was great. I loved the city and all the information taught on the tour. We ate a lot of good food on the tour so go hungry. The tour guide was very knowledgable and fun. I cannot imagine a better way to see the city and experience some of the best foods.

My two sisters and I really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide, Barri was very good. There is plenty of delicious food; no need for lunch afterwards...

Without a doubt, the best tour we have taken. Not sure if all the guides are equally as talented, but Michael made this extremely interesting and loads of fun. We had been concerned that the lengh of the tour was a bit long, but the time just flew by and we truly enjoyed every minute. The food was really good - along with some usual - but exceptionally good pizza - we also tried unique dishes that truly made us wish we had open evenings for dinner. As other reviewers have noted, it's a good idea to do this at the beginning of your trip rather than the end so you have time to go back and enjoy even more. And I have to admit, although I'm not much of a history buff, Michael's knowledge and excellent stories as we strolled through the area made for an exciting and fascinating look at Greenwich Village. Quite honestly, by the end of the tour, I think most of us were ready to chuck our jobs and find some way to become a part of this varied and unique community. Hats off to Michael - this was a real highlight of our visit to NYC!!!

I previously sent an e-mail detailing how much we enjoyed the tour. Our leader, Michael Karp, did an extraordinary job. He was very knowlegable and his love of the area was evident. We loved the food and the history discussions. This tour was highly recommended to us by friends and we are doing the same to others.
