Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

We all thoughly enjoyed this tour, the food was an adventure and delicious, also the points of interest described by the quide as we ambled along were interesting and informative. I would highly recommend this activity, it appeals to all ages. My fifteen year old grandaughter was with us and enjoyed the event as much as my daughter and I. I can't wait to return to New York and visit Greenwich Village again and wander back to all the places we discovered on the tour. It was an awesome three hours.

Our tour guide, Barri, did a fantastic job of showing us just some of the highlights of the West Village area of Greenwich Village. Great local knowledge of the buildings, history, shopping and restaurants. An Excellent value

This was the best money we spent while in New York...and surprisingly the best deal for the money. We not only heard about New York's history but we EXPERIENCED it as well. Our guide, Kurt, was fun and friendly and very informed. He made every bakery, restaurant, garden and store come alive with culture from the architecture to the people...and the food was GREAT!!! This is a tour we'll be taking every time we visit. Thanks!

an excellent, fun and informative tour, we really enjoyed it, we we went back to the Home Restaurant, Chumleys and both patisseries over the next few days. We loved Greenwich village and following the tour would probably opt to stay in the area if we return to New York. We would recommend to friends. Our guide was Jewish thespian with mad hair, name lost in fog of jet lag but great fun. Thank you

Three men aged 74, 41 & 7 embarked on a food tour of the west village. Michael was our tour guide who was a wealth of information about the village and NYC. I, being a former NYer and of Italian descent food is of great importance to us and the tour didn't dissapoint. From sliced pizza, canolis, olives & cheeses, bread, cookies to turkish doner kebabs it offered a wide variety of treats. I would recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic tour lead by Mike, who walked us around to fabulous little places all around Greenwich Village. The food was excellent, and even our "strict" vegetarian (i.e. picky eater) teenagers enjoyed the samples. The tour had just the right mix of local history, American history, Art, Music, movement...and lots of humor. We've been on a number of walking tours, and it is always a treat to meet a guide who likes people as much as s/he loves the history of the place. Thank you, Mike! I've travel quite extensively, and have been on many, many excellent tours. However, I must say that this tour was the most enjoyable one I've ever taken. My husband and 9-year old son agree. The guide, Curt, was not only informative, but also extremely entertaining. He radiated enthusiasm, and demonstrated genuine interest and concern in others. He was OUTSTANDING, and took us to out-of-the-way places one might miss if venturing out on their own.

The tour and tour guide were great. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The shops appeared to be quite happy to have us visit. I initially went on the tour with my friends back in Nov, and I liked it so much I decided to bring my husband as he is a big history buff. I was a little apprehensive about taking my 5 year old, but he did just great. He's all set to move to the Village and eat some of that yummy food whenever the urge strikes.

The village tour was fabulous and I would highly recommend it. Our guide, Cindy, was extraordinary. Having lived in New York for many years she is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and village area and knows all the best spots to eat and shop, which she was more than happy to share with us. We were treated to an abundance of absolutely delicious culinary treats! My son and I really enjoyed ourselves and followed up the tour with dinner at one of the recommended French Restaurants in the evening and it was like being back in Paris. Thanks for a great experience, it was one of the highlights of our vacation.
