I took this as a way to get some orientation to the area of NY on the first day I spent there. It was excellent in that respect as I headed back down to Greenwich village later in my stay to visit some of the bars that were pointed out. I also found it a great activity as a lone-travelling tourist as there was plenty to see, talk about and a friendly group environment as we walked from place to place. Also worth noting that there's a good mix of food and non-food narrative along the way. And finally, I should point out that I didn't feel like too much of a tourist on the tour (which was one of my initial reservations). DO IT! |

Our Greenwich Village Tasting/Cultural Tour was so much more than I expected.
As locals, we take for granted all of our surroundings. This tour made us appreciate
the amazing eateries and quaint little stores Greenwich Village has to offer.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the tastings and the cultural aspects as well. There was more than enough food at the tastings that we didn't need to eat lunch. We are looking forward to another trip on our own to explore our newly found restaurants and shops. We had a group of all ages, from all parts of the world and our guide made everyone feel special. The tour was very informative about the buildings and and the little "ins and outs" of Greenwich Village as well. We are making plans to take the Chelsea Market tour very soon. |

I went on the tour with two of my girlfriends as a birthday treat for one of them. We are native New Yorkers but as you know, you often don't appreciate the history and culture, which is available all around you. It was a beautiful day, there were 14 people in our group from all over (including Australia), our tour guide, Michael was funny (but you have to keep an eye on him because he moves fast :) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Each of the restaurants offered excellent sized portions of well-prepared food. It was worth the money and time and at the end, we found a few new places to add to our list of eat out favorites. |

Tour guide very informative and talked about the culture and history of Greenwich Village. Food great! Most valuable aspect was the information packet received. Gives detailed descriptions of best places to eat in the village; great for when I return! |

My daughter and i really enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the foods. We ate at two recommended resturants, one with very good results, the other we could have skipped. The walk wasnt too fatiguing and the foods we tried were a great variety of the foods in that part of the city. We wanted to do another tour but ran out of time. I suggest people do the tour first and then see the city as there are many interesting things we could have planned on our stay in New York that were mentioned on the tour. |

My mother and I went on this tour together. Out of all the tours we went on this was the VERY BEST! The money was well worth it...actually I'm surprised they don't charge more! I'm sure your experience will all depend on how much knowledge your tour guide has on the location. Our tour guide was seeping with tid bits of interesting info (aside from what you can look up on your own. The food was TO DIE FOR at all the locations. We would Never have found these non-touristy shops on our own! All I can say is closing is JUST DO IT!
P.S. Bring walking shoes and an extra bottle of water! You do LOTS of walking and eating! Have fun! |

The Greenwich Village tour was better than expected! The tour guide was fun, energetic, and super informative. While the focus was on foods, the history, tours of the neighborhood, and the insights of Village history kept us intrigued and inquisitive. And of course the food was luscious! We highly recommend this tour as a "must do" for NYC visitors! |

Our tour guide, Cindy, was great. Her breadth of knowledge about the city, Greenwich Village, and her enthusiasm made it one of the best walking tours I have taken. The food choices were delicious. I walked away feeling well informed, full and with some great suggestions for dinner. |
