Such Good Fun...Such Good Food

This tour was great. I am a single female traveller and I often take tours to get familiar with an area before I go out exploring on my own. The tour was a fabulous introduction to Greenwich Village. I now have MANY place I want to go back next time I'm in the area. I highly recommend this tour if you want great value for your hard earned cash. The food samples were excellent...although I don't really consider a whole slice of pizza and a whole pita sandwich a sample, it was nore like several really amazing meals and appetizers. Don't hesitate...book this tour.

Easy enough for seniors, tasty enough for teens. Wonderful guide. A great introduction to Greenwich Village.

This walking tour provided lots of fascinating detail about a most interesting part of New York. The food samples were delicious and we all learnt a lot about the history of Greenwich Village. The restaurants, food specialists and streetscapes were a warm and vibrant change from the rest of Manhattan.

The tour was a great orientation to the Greenwich Village area. I wish I had more time to eat at all the places we visited. Quaint little restaurants with good food...and a dose of history and culture on the side. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone just looking for a day in the Village or looking for a list of good restaurant choices for an extended stay.

A fun and informative look at Greenwich Village

The tour was a superb way to get to know a small slice of New York City. Equal parts Greenwich Village foods, culture, and history, the tour succeeded in making us feel like locals and have the knowledge to go back to a few places on our own. We're looking forward to visiting the area again on our own.

Michael provided us with a terrific tour of GV. He had a quick wit and was a wonderful, well informed leader. I learned so much and ate so well. He pointed out so many things that I had never known even though I had spent time in the area previously. The food was delicious and just the right amount. I can't wait to come back and go to some of the restaurants we visited. I have already recommended the tour to several friends from Florida. A real high point of my trip to NYC! Eating, learning, laughter! Who could ask for more!

More of a historical tour than a food tour

The tour guide, Michael, was very informative and knowledgable, but I expected more food tastings out of this tour than what we actually experienced. The timing of the tastings could have been spaced out a little better, as we had 3 tastings right in the beginning and 3 in the end. All in all, however, it was a great way to get to know a part of New York on a more intimate level than your usual tourist attractions. My friends loved the historical aspect of the tour and felt it should have been marketed more as a historical tour than a food tour.

I wish we would've done the tour at the beginning of our trip. Our tour guide was fantastic/very energetic. Food was great....learned alot about the village and where we should go next time we come into the city. Definately would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn a bit of history about the Village and get some great food during the journey.
