Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

I can't recommend the tour enough. If you are appreciative of history, food, the arts, and literature your curiosity will be satisfied. We had a great time, and--unexpectedly--felt like we walked away having meet fellow tourees who could have become new friends. Our guide had a wonderful sense of timing; not your usual tour speil.I took my father from out of town; I can't wait to revisit some of the spots with my husband.

We enjoyed tasting the different samples from the local restaurants and specialty shops. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and not only gave a great culinary tour, but she also wove in many historical facts about the area. We would definitely recommend this tour to other groups!

I recently visited New York with a group of girlfriends. Based on a friend's recommendation, we booked a Greenwich Village Tasting Tour. Our tour guide (Barri) was great. The food was wonderful. The history and local culture sprinkled throughout was very interesting. It was one of the highlights of our weekend in NYC! We all (7 of us in total) said we'd recommend the tour to anyone. Well worth the time and ticket fee. Enjoy!

This tour looked promising when I came across it on the Internet and it delivered even more than I had hoped for. It was a wonderful mixture of local architectural and cultural history woven into tours and tastings at delightful local restaurants and shops. My 16 year old daughter and I both enjoyed it tremendously. We visited kitchens, dining rooms, and other areas that would not be available to the casual visitor. The food was delicious--diverse in both taste and type. A wonderful handout was provided that listed even more restraurants than the ones we visited as well as theatres, comedy clubs and other venues of interest. We came back that evening to eat at a restaurant we passed by and had a wonderful meal. Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and personable. He assured our comfort by providing a bottle of water, stopping at several points for restroom breaks, and finding shady spots along the way to impart information. This was the highlight of our trip and I would recommend it to anyone. I wish there was a tour such as this for every neighborhood in Manhattan.

Our tour guide was amazing - enthusiastic, passionate, and knowledgeable. I have already recommended to others - in fact, a few purchased tickets right away! I will definitely sign up for the tour of Chelsea/MEPA.Tickets are a great gift idea for New Yorkers and visitors the same.

We really enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed the history of Greenwich Village and would have enjoyed more tastes. I would reccomend a friendly way of offering an immediate sign up for additional tours. Thank You.

My family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village Food Tour. My children, ages 11, 13, 15 and 19, loved this tour as did my husband and I. Our guide was quite funny and full of insider information on the area and the restaurants we visited as well as the ones we did not. My kids hung on his every word and he answered all of their questions about the rich and famous who live in and around the area. The food was excellent and ample...we needed no lunch after the tour. The tour lasted 3 hours and my kids couldn't believe it was over so soon. Now that is a testimony!
