A wonderful way to learn about Greenwich Village. Enthusiastic tour guide. Great food tasting (the cannoli was out-of-this-world). Well worth it! Look forward to doing the Chelsea Meat Packing District tour next time I am in New York City. Will recommend to friends. |

This tour provides a great intro to Greenwich Village, enabling visitors to make informed decisions concerning restaurant and entertainment choices plus souvenirs and take-home gifts. The tour guide provides enough historical anecdotes to put the sites into perspective and add to one's appreciation of the neighborhood and its inhabitants. The tour includes enough food to serve as lunch. This tour is not suited for people having trouble walking or standing for three hours. |

My daughter and I thorougly enjoyed the food tour (and we're from NY) -- and those restaurants that provided samples -- yummy! Actually went back to several of the outlets to buy more. Will try the Chealsea tour next. |

The tour started out great, complete with perfect weather and a great slice of pizza! Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable about The Village however, the tour was 1 hour too long. Our group was definitely losing interest with all the history of brick and architecture. If the tour needs to be 3 hours long then allow some time to shop in some of those cute little shops along the way. Although the tour came highly recommended, I would not recommend it because of the length. New York City is spectacular and that I would recommend! |

My married daughter and I did the tour. We thought Mike was fantastic. He's so interesting and funny. We returned two day later to eat at the Greenwich Village Bistro and buy pastries at Bruno's. We have suggested to three other friends who will be traveling to NY that they do the walking tour. I kept the restaurant brochure for future trips. Fantastic! |

I love food, eating, preparing, looking at...so when I found this tour--I signed up right away. I dragged my friends along and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guide, Todd, was fantastic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The insiders tour through all the parts of Greenwich was fascinating. What I wasn't expecting-and really found interesting-was the architectural history of the neighboorhood. The food was excellent! Thanks for the wonderful tour of your city and the guide of the locations visited and not visited. I'll be back! |

My boyfriend usually hates tours but even he agreed that this was the best thing we did in New York. The tour weaves its way around Greenwich Village, diving into a patisserie here and a restaurant there, with plenty of tastings (don't make the mistake of eating a large breakfast beforehand or you will struggle!). Our amiable tour guide, Todd, was very knowledgeable about the area as well as the food.
Unlike some of the bus tours that we did, this tour doesn't merely point out obvious landmarks but takes you to some places that you could easily walk past without a second thought, if you didn't know what they were. My favourite place was the Speakeasy with its fake bookcase that swings open if you need to escape in a hurry.
You also get a very useful map and write-up of the places you've seen, so you can pop back later (as we did) to one of the restaurants. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the free wine tasting you can do afterwards. New York wines are a bit like English wines... Don't be put off by that though (it isn't part of the tour) - this tour is really good value for money. |

My wife and I just completed our visit to NYC, and in the last minute decided to take a walking food and culture tour of the village. Our guide Todd, was very knowledgeable of the area and of the local culture. The food we tried was excellent and we would recommend this tour to anyone. For us this was the 3 hours was better spent then going to Ms. Liberty..

We spend a fantastic few hours with this very informative tour. It really was the highlight of our trip. We couldn't recommend it more and hope to do the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour next. We especially liked the free coupon to Vintage Wine for the tasting, which was included in the tour. You feel like an insider, a local! |
