Couple on a Date |
| Our guide (Barb from Brooklyn? Beatrice from Brooklyn - anyway she was from Brooklyn) did a number of things that we were impressed with: 1) she gave us some background on the various food shops, and also some history of the Village itself, which was nice and 2) she didn't B.S. her way through something. When she didn't know the answer to a question, she gave you her best guess and made it clear that she wasn't sure. So all in all it was time very well spent. We made a reservation at Palma's (?) for the following night and of course the food was excellent. thank you |

| I thoroughly enjoyed this tour - it was a stand out during my 10 days in NYC. Our guide (Cindy) was enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the local produce, vendors and the Greenwich Village area - everyone in the group related well to her. If you are looking to do something just a bit different and less touristy; this is the activity for you (and it was delicious!).
Caroline (Australia)
PS I took my husband back to Greenwich Village later that week and did my own gourmet tour with him which he loved - thanks for all the insider tips!! |

Family Without Children |
| We were a combo of locals and out of towners with a knowledge of the city, but we learnt things we definetly did not know beforehand.
The guide had great anecdotes that totally added to the walk, the food was very good, well paced as was the walk and the variety of food was perfect.
I would highly recommend the walk to New Yorkers as well as visitors.

| Excellent tour! Guide Barrie was knowledgable about all the food, the neighborhod and the architecture. All the restaurants are excellent, we would not have found them if we didn't join the tour. |

| THE ENTIRE FAMILY ENJOYED LEARNING ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE VILLAGE. IT WAS NOT BORING...IT WAS FUN. WE SAW PLACES THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN ON OUR OWN AND TASTED THE BEST FOOD IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD..
ONLY CHANGE WE WOULD RECOMMEND IS TO MAKE IT MORE SR. FRIENDLY BY BEING ABLE TO STOP AND SIT SOMEWHERE MID WAY. ALSO DECREASE FEE FOR CHILDREN. OUR 4 YEAR OLD REALLY WAS NOT ABLE TO EAT ALL SAMPLES AND WE PAID FULL PRICE.
WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS TYPE OF TASTING AND HISTORY TOUR DONE IN MORE NEW YORK NEIGHBORHOODS.
WE PLAN ON TAKING THE CHELSE MARKET TOUR NEXT. |
