Our tour was taken by Kurt, who was very enthusiastic about the places we visited. Not only did he have a good knowledge on the establishments but he also gave a commentary on various places of interest on the tour, pointing out various sites.
The places we visited were great, as was the food and the amount of food we were able to taste.
It opened up a whole new area of the city we had not previously visited.
Highly recommended! |

Really enjoyable because of the food. Our tour guide was very professional and made sure that everyone had a good time. My only suggestion is that the food could've been a little more adventurous to appeal to the foodie types. |

The food is incredible!!! The information was fun and so very interesting. We had a great time. It is a relaxed tour, lots of walking but at an easy pace, with a great opportunity to get a great feel for the Village and the people who live there and who developed it and kept it so unique.
We took the tour the day before we were scheduled to leave. While we LOVED everything about it we would recommend that people take it earlier in their trip (which means booking it early!) so that they can take advantage of the restaurant recommendations while they are visiting.
Do it! It is one of the highlights of our trip. We are certain that we'll be ordering some things from the shops we visited (i.e. cheese, olive oil) because once you've had a taste of the authentic, how do you ever settle for anything else?
Enjoy! |

We both enjoyed the 3 hours very much. The food was very tasty. Each restaurant gave food that was a good representation of what they were reknown for. We all ate plenty of food and had opportunity to drink a variety of beverages as we went along. The history of the Village and the information on architecture also enhanced the day . The information had enough detail to keep everyone's interest and yet was never too drawn out. We returned that evening to retrace our steps, eat in one of the famous restaurants and feel the night life in that special part of NY City. I would have appreciated a fruit dish and a vegetable tasting, perhaps with vinaigrette or as a lettuce wrap or a kabab. Working as a nutritionist, I always promote a balanced meal which would be one that has at least 1 fruit and 1 vegetable along with all those other tasty foods we sampled. The tour guide Bari was a great personality to spend a day with and we recommend her highly. |

Marie's passion for the food, history, and culture of Greenwich Village truly brought the area to life. No guidebook can compare to her delightful and entertaining storytelling abilities that educated our group on "secret, insider-only" information that makes a tourist feel like a local. I have placed the printed guide from my tour in a safe spot, as it will be a valuable resource on my next visit to New York. Keep up the excellent work, because I'm already looking forward to my next tour! |

Four friends from Hawaii (referred to as "The Hawaii Babes" by our sensational guide, Ed Caraballo - sorry if we misspelled this, Ed) set out to learn more about Greenwich Village and it's variety of foods.
The purveyors of food represented diverse ethnicities and top quality. There was ample time given to sit and enjoy the ambiance along the way. Ed shared a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for the neighborhoods colorful history and made it come alive for us. By the time the tour was over, we all wished we lived in Greenwich Village and could learn more from Ed. |

Our tour guide Ed was the BEST! He took us through the various food stops and streets of Greenwich Village efficiently and with authority. The tour included a wonderful assortment of treats with enough time in between to truly enjoy the tastes and flavors. We had plenty of opportunity to sit for a few minutes and use restrooms along the way, which was good. My adult son was on the tour with me and was impressed with all he learned about the surrounding neighborhoods and the people who had lived in some of the houses, including Washington Irving, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Walt Disney, and Aaron Burr. Ed was well versed in local history and provided the information, both cultural and culinary, in an interesting and entertaining way. I would definitely recommend this tour as a way not only to taste various local foods but also to get into quaint neighborhoods rich in history that are off the beaten path when one visits New York City. |
