Enjoyable glimpse into Greenwich neighborhood life

My wife and I had a blast eating through a few blocks with our host Marie. She is full of entertaing/interesting facts. She is also happy to carry on a conversation and answer any questions as we strolled through the streets. The food is a nice mix of all types, some comfort food and some more exotic. I also enjoy the history stops as we walked which gave me time to get ready for the next tasting. When my wife and I venture back to NYC we will definitely try another neighborhood food tour with this company.

We had a lovely tour guide, Marie, who was a bundle of knowledge and joy as she took us around the West Village area sampling 7 different fine foods including the famous Joes Pizza! At the same time we got a history lesson on the architecture and residents of the local neighbourhood as well as tips on what other places to try in the future. Excellent, well worth trying!

A Fun Three Hours

Sefra, our tour guide, was GREAT!! She really made the entire experience that much more enjoyable. There were some interesting facts brought up on the tour - trivia, mostly, but very interesting. Some off-the-beaten-path destinations were unique and appealing. The group was small (7) and diverse (25-65) which made it all the better!

We really enjoyed the tour. The food was fine, but we really viewed this more as a way to have a "quick" tour around Greenwich village and help us get to know the place. On that front, we feel totally fulfilled and then some. It was a great way to spend an afternoon. Our guide was great, and we felt well cared for. We have no complaints. In fact, b/c of the tour, we actually made it back to Greenwich Village twice during our stay and had a MUCH better time than we would have had if we hadn't have been on this tour. Seriously though, you have to get your expectations straight and be realistic: The tour isn't particularly expensive and if you're expecting an astonishing quantity of food, you won't be satisfied. It's about more than the food. It's about getting to know the area and the people who made it. And, really, the food was actually very good. Next time we're back, we'll definitely consider one of the other area tours these guys put on.

Three hours passed quickly and left us wanting more. What a great way to become immersed in the neighborhoods of NYC. our guide was fantastic and we hope to take another tour soon.

We booked this tour because of the good reviews we read through this website and true enough it didn't disappoint us. Kurt, who was our tour guide is funny and very knowledgeable about the places not only with the Greenwich Village but also with the surrounding areas. The places we went to were all good and at the end we're so filled that you don't need to eat your lunch afterwards.
