Truly a highlight of our trip to NYC! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, witty, and charming -- he led us on a fascinating adventure of culture, architecture, and food! My teenage children (a boy-15 and a girl-13) were completely surprised to hear the stories of the Village, enjoyed tasting all of the food samples, and did not falter once on our three hour tour! And the food was fantastic! This tour (and our guide) are treasures of NY! This is a "must do" tour!

We had a great time touring the village, learning interesting facts about the history and architecture of this area. Wow! What wonderful foods we sampled! Our guide Zora ( I may not have the right spelling) was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We enjoyed her liveliness. Our group consisted of people from all different area of the U.S. and a couple from Sweeden. What a great way to share cultural similarities!

At first, the tour guide discussed at length certain restaurants in the neighborhood which sounded alot like commercials. Later on, she discussed the neighborhood -- history, etc. -- in more detail. I think we could have done with less on the restaurants and more on the neighborhood. We really enjoyed the second half of the tour.

We had this tour on our first day in New York, which was a terrific start! Our guide was very informative and funny, and the foodtasting was nice. We also got recommendations of Greenwich restaurants, two of which we later visited and had further good "eating experiences". Thank you!

From a local perspective, we had a great time since we don't regularly hang out in the West Village (we live on the Upper East), and when we do, we inevitably get lost like everyone else. I think what was most effective about the tour was that the tastings supported the history of the neighborhood--the focus was on older, established restaurants and not on trendy newcomers. My visiting parents were overwhelmed by the variety and abundance of local foods and enjoyed the tastings, the "inside scoop" and the pace of the walking tour. This is definitely on my list of things to do when friends and family visit New York in the future.

| I felt it was time well spent. Very interesting history of the Greenwich Village area and it's current businesses. Our tour guide (female) was very well informed and enjoyed teaching the group on all aspects of the village eg, building designs and construction, history of buildings, street layouts ect.
The food tasting at various restaurant's was much enjoyed and left the experience satisfied and full. A great way to spend three hours being educated, fed and get your exercise also.

I would highly recommended this tour. Our guide Rebecca was very informative and professional. The tour included a nice variety of history, current eateries, food tasting, local establishments and very informative information about the Village. The tour was definitely very good, bordering on excellent.
